Gridiron – Gottlieb 1977
Original conversion of Pinuck’s VP9 table by Scottacus

This is Gottlieb’s re-do of Pro Football. Pretty much the same table, but now it is 2 player and the outlanes will always score a touchdown even if the score motor is running (a flaw that the Gottlieb designer of this table corrected when he redid it).
Unique thing about this table – match is based on last 3 digits. I don’t believe Gottlieb ever did this prior with their tables.
My table is a complete rebuild of the table. Prior tables were used to identify scoring and such. You will also note this one has the correct plastics. Prior tables used (incorrectly) Pro Football’s plastics.

December 17, 2018 at 3:10 pm #106995hi, LM, thanks for this gottieb classic.
during the game ball, all the scores are played as the same bell (bell1000).score10, score100 and score1000 appear in the editor / table / sound manager, but I do not know how to do it in the script so that the scores of 10,100 and 1000 will sound with their corresponding bells, any solution?
(in the other table, pro football the same thing happens)You need to login in order to like this post: click here
December 17, 2018 at 7:44 pm #107036ah – thank you for catching that. Let me take a look at these 2 and get the sounds corrected on them.
ok – just looked and listened and the issue is apparently the backglass is playing the reel movement sounds really loud. Working on fixing that.
ok – just played the same table and B2S on my cab and the chimes sound effects play fine and the B2S reels are quiet. Not quite sure what the deal is there. Checked the B2S server files and they match. Ok, now I think I found something – on my desktop I played the table via PinballX and the sounds were fine where I could hear the chimes correctly. Played it again outside of PinballX and it was still like on my cab. So somehow PinballX is quieting down the reel sounds and it is “sticking”. Very interesting. Anyone ever noticed this with B2S before?

December 18, 2018 at 12:14 am #107053Are you on a fairly new VP ? I’ve experienced a bit of problems with where the sound is coming from – on earlier versions of VP. I don’t remember now how far back it was since I saw Rob posting that he finally nailed table <=> backglass bug. Not sure if it even applies to your problem either.
