This is something I have seen people ask how to STOP from happening, but I am WANTING this to occur in my cab. When I see the solution that is mentioned in the STOP it from happening threads I don’t see the feature to uncheck in Playlist settings. Here is what I want to accomplish.
I have made some custom music files for some custom playlists I want to add to my cabinet. So I want to create a Star Wars Playlist on the Home level, put all of my Star Wars tables in that playlist and have my custom music track playing not only when I have the Star Wars playlist centered on the Home Screen BUT ALSO after I enter the playlist and am scrolling through the tables in that list. I want the music to continue playing until I actually select a table from that list, at which point I would expect to hear the Audio Launch sound file for that table. When I exit the table and return to the Star Wars Playlist I would expect to hear my Star Wars Playlist music restart and continue until I either select another table to play, or back out to the Home Screen and scroll to my Superheros Playlist. At that point I want to hear my custom music track I made for that playlist that would play then as well as when I am scrolling thru the tables within that playlist.
Is this something that is possible and if so, how do I set this up. I have tried placing Default audio files in the System folder and I have checked and unchecked every option in the Settings tab of the Playlist Manager but I can’t get this result. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would super appreciate that help.

November 29, 2019 at 12:39 pm #152871try this:
Popper Setup/Global Settings/Displays
on audio/music set that to ‘active and update’ (like backglass)
if game has no audio setup it will use playlist default audio.

November 29, 2019 at 1:46 pm #152884YES!!!!!! Thank you so much David! I have been trying to work that out for several months. You and I actually talked about that when you were helping me work out the issue I had launching and exiting the Bingo tables. Now I can really get my cabinet set up with a smooth selection process that gives a great end user experience. Now I just need to figure out why DOF isn’t working when I’m in Pinup Menu.
Thanks again.

November 29, 2019 at 3:19 pm #152895I have, here is what I see.
In Popper Doctor the DOF Driver Type is Popper dof and the Dof Rom is pinupmenu. When I press Start DOF the log says Starting DOF, then DOF After INIT. No matter what I put in the DOF Element and Send DOF On nothing happens. If I change DOF Driver Type to DOFDirect I get an error message when I try to start it saying “The system cannot find the file specified, ProgID; DirectOutput.ComObject” When I press Stop DOF I get a message saying “Invalid variant operation” I’ve gone into the registry and tried working with the settings as indicated in your wiki but so far I haven’t figured out what the problem is. Hopefully, like the display needing set to Active and Update, you know another place I should look.

need to reinstall DOF r3++ i’d guess..make sure no anti-virus or blocked files in the DOF setup.
getting dof to work in popper menu is very easy and not much to it….just the one option set to true is about it.

December 10, 2019 at 11:03 am #154015Just updating, I’ve reinstalled the Grander Unifier R++ for DOF but I’m getting the same results. I have no antivirus running and use 7-zip so nothing should be blocked. DOF is set to = true in the ini file. I’m sort of like you, there isn’t much to it, so when it doesn’t work I’m not sure where else to look.
DOF works fine with tables, just not when in Pinup Menu, which is just my addressable LED strips. I don’t know if the fact that Doctor doesn’t respond to any DOF ON Events when the DOF Driver type is Popper DOF is telling us something or not.
I’ve done everything in the wiki regarding the DirectOutput.ComObject.
