An almost from scratch build of my first ever upload! Big thanks to Herweh for his incredible stuff, and another special thanks to 32assassin for bringing this table to VPX!!
Credits:
– Herweh for the incredible saucer physics, scripting all moving parts, SSF sounds and reworking the rest of the script! Thanks, man!
– 32assassin for bringing this table to VPX! I used his table as a base for all of this.
– Poppote for his ultraclean original artwork. Made the 8k upscale alot easier!
– Bord for the shooterlane image and playtesting!
– BorgDog for the wood image!
– Thalamus for playtesting and kicking everybodys ass in the forums!

November 30, 2019 at 8:08 am #152983Revisiting this game gave me a whole new appreciation of it. Very fun and challenging.
The presentation here, art, modeling rendering, sound, physics, is all top shelf work. There are a lot of ways you could use your talent and it is generous of you to share it with us. Thank you.

November 30, 2019 at 12:57 pm #153011Gotta say, as someone that has their vp cab right next to an EM – – I cannot believe how realistic you guys are getting. And I don’t have to track down stepper unit malfunctions to play this! Absolutely gorgeous schreibi34 and team. Thanks for these amazing gifts.  …still trying to figure out Herweh’s latest avatar.

November 30, 2019 at 3:15 pm #153033I must admit, the changing for the avatar has made me spend some time trying to figure it out. I was at one time thinking it could be whirlwind. But, now I’m pretty sure it isn’t. One thing I’m sure of though is that it is going to be a great release. All his previous releases has been.

November 30, 2019 at 5:30 pm #153065Another outstanding release Schreibi! I knew it when I saw the previev. The table looks and plays great! And I like the saucer physics including its mechanical sounds. Thanks to all involved!
If I only could remember where I saw the picture from Herweh’s avatar…….

November 30, 2019 at 6:30 pm #153073Fantastic rendering Schreibi34! Another great early SS pinball that was at the arcade by my high school in 1977. I feel like I’m 15 again. Thanks for the memories!

November 30, 2019 at 7:11 pm #153075Feel the same. So many of these recreations bring me back to …the mall.
Just spent some time dialing this in and finally playing. Really WOW Schreibi and crew. In just the short time I’ve been involved around here, you and some other devs have just gone into warp drive as far as pushing things forward. Staggering following along.
For any that play in very dark environs like me, I did do the playfield mesh adjustment in the table editor where you set Disable Lighting to zero and then bump around the bloom and ambient settings a bit. I found a really nice sweet spot …and if STAT meant by ‘mirror’ the BG reflection on the playfield – – I concur. To me, again I’m playing it right next to a real pin in the dark where I also see that reflection, it adds to the realism. …I was squinting and staring at those reflections while testing this out to see if the reflection scoring was changing. That would be freaky cool. Nuf typing  back to playing. Thanks again guys.
Edit: A few posts from now, Schreibi mentions that I should check my monitor settings. I stared at that suggestion for a moment and….
I had installed my PF monitor earlier this year when I was halfway through cab build. I wrongly assumed I had dialed in the settings. Nope. It was set to ‘general.’ The playfield mesh adjustment is still needed for a few tables on my setup but not this one. I’m a doof.

If we focus all our efforts like a laser, maybe we can figure it out?

Indeed! I was hoping that it would be this one but did not see the part of the image. Now I looked again and YEEEES :)
One of my favourites since I started vp, and the VP 9 version is already amazing. Unbelievable, this was the very first table from that company.Sorry for the off topic Schreibi, and thanks again for the fantastic Hot Tip table.
