I just did a test. I normally run 39″ 1080 at 120fps. A year ago, I bought a 40″ Samsung 4K as a home TV with a 60hz refresh rate. I wanted to see 4K, so I hooked it up and Nvidia/Control Panel showed as 4K at 60hz.
I just tried it on my cab with a GTX1060. At first, I was getting around 30 fps on G5K’s AFM (on screen with F11). Then I turned Vsync = -1 and got 70-80 fps. Then I tried The Clash and was getting … 120 fps. Why? I’m not actually getting 120 fps at 4K am I?
