Hi Guys,
(I am new to Forums. So forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this)
I am woking on my home cabinet adding screens in my apron and was wondering if it is possible to have a duplicate Freezy DMD on another screen at the same time? So that I can leave the DMD on the (DMD-) main-screen but also ad it to my apron? Can’t seem to find info on it anywhere?
THx!

December 1, 2020 at 3:22 am #212941I have an apron DMD screen… it’s not a feezy duplicate though, just the vpinmame dmd with 4 colours.
You can mirror freezy with DMDext, but it started to get a bit messy for me handling tables with different DMD sizes in freezy (sega etc), so i just went for vpiname as an easy route. If you find a way in freezy to send to two screens let me know!

Got that to work. But i really like the thickness and altcolor option of Freezy DMD.

December 1, 2020 at 8:31 am #212959Yeah, altcolor is nice – but to be honest i’m starting to like just bright /high contrast colours on the apron dmd so i can see it out of the corner of my eye more without really looking. I did even try running with the ‘compact display’ option in VPM for a while to make it stand out more, great in game but not that pretty so i decided that was a step too far.
Anyway, you could try adjusting this dmdext command to mirror freezy for your setup;
C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME>dmdext mirror –source=screen –virtual-position 7280 140 800 200 –position 5240 105 1200 300
virtual position is where to place the mirror, position is where to grab from. If you have all dmd’s set for the same size it will work better for you than for me.
Another option for you would be to mirror with OBS (i already use it to mirror playfield to one side of my backglass screen and i don’t think it would like two instances running so i didn’t try it, no reason it wouldn’t work for you though and i know there’s not much overhead using it)
