I just caught a mouse in the house!
I hate mice and how did it get in? I’ve been around outside of house dozens of times every year and no cracks or anyway I can find how they get in but they do

October 25, 2018 at 11:44 am #101673seriously we had mice a few years ago, did some renovations, did see some access issue in the garage and now it all looks good. Those buggers though only need like half an inch of space to squeeze through so they find a way.

October 25, 2018 at 4:50 pm #101690I wonder if they could be getting in from the roof peek vent? I’m telling you there is no way there is a crack anywhere but the peek vent on roof is “open” just has plastic pegs blocking rain or whatever from getting in.
I installed new forage door seals on upper and lower garages couple years ago and they are still fine
Maybe…. look at this video we don’t have rats but mice

October 30, 2018 at 4:47 pm #102197Ok!
i picked up this stainless steel “fabric” more of a wool but…went up to check peak vents And I’ll be damned if the “venting” didn’t shrink! At least 1/2” in some places between each four foot section!! I need way more fabric as I put same vents on back garage and that to has shrunk. Anyways here are some detail pics of the fabric stuffed in the gaps and even stuffed under valley tin just Incase.
no idea if that’s where they got in but I did the roof myself many years ago and cut the peak myself so I know it’s wide open just under that plastic and that gap leads right to cut and other side of roof. Also you see a typical box vent on the roof too but thats a different level of a roof where i stuffed under valley and never cut a ridge vent in.
@borgdog You think I wasted my time?********************************************************

November 15, 2018 at 9:31 am #103949thermal imaging will show where you are leaking heat.. then you will be able to spot where mice get in , they always enter at a heat source leak.
