August 25, 2017 at 8:07 pm #62180I’ve enjoyed Aerosmith the few times I’ve played it. Pro version (without the little upper playfield) better than the more expensive ones imho.

August 25, 2017 at 10:37 pm #62195I really like Aerosmith. The toy box lock is a real feat of engineering. I like that Stern is bringing line-art back to many of their tables. Hope this trend continues.
Haven’t played Star Wars yet. Traveled three hours to San Francisco’s Free Gold Watch pinball arcade last weekend and it was down!
Jilly’s sounds awesome. 25 cents!? Unbelievable! I’m pretty sure ICPJuggla mentioned visiting this place too. You guys are lucky.
Awesome that you guys play pinball as a family, Hauntfreaks.
:)

August 26, 2017 at 3:06 am #62219Very hard to find real pins where I live. But, I came over Ghostbuster on a small trip I made to Sweden about a week back. Nah … didn’t like it much. Coins went into Medieval Madness and Spiderman instead. Lord of the Rings was unfortunately down.

August 26, 2017 at 4:53 pm #62256Haunt, do you have the Dirty Donnie coffee table book? It’s pretty sweet. Wife gave it to me for Christmas. I’m easy to shop for — anything pinball related and… slam dunk!
:P

Until just recently I also hadn’t played a real pin in years as there weren’t any arcades around where I lived.
Now I live in Ottawa and there are two Pinball Arcades here.
One is the Ottawa Pinball Arcade. It features completely rebuilt and updated classic EMs and pinball machines that are pre-DMD (mostly).
The second is the House of Targ, which features mostly newer era DMD machines as well as some brand new machines like Ghostbusters, etc.
Both places have one day a week where for $10, you play as much as you want. Love these places!

Didn’t know about that site. Cool. Found some more scattered pinball machines throughout the city.
I just came from The House of Targ. Correction, its $5 from 9pm to 2am (19 and over) free play for pinball and arcade games. Their new game was Game of Thrones, and it was so busy I couldn’t get near it. :(
