I have some supplemental packs for non VPX, FX3 tables that provide effects for the flippers, plunger , etc. I understand how to read the codes and find what effects are what, and would like to remove some. I was curious if the effects are dependent on what comes before them in any way on the long string of commands in the Key To Rom line. If I want to remove a side flash on A0 for example that is in the middle of the Key to Rom line, can I just remove it or are there problems with removing portions of the line because of dependency? I ask because sometimes I can do this and it works fine, other times depending where it is, it can break the entire line leaving 0 effects.

December 31, 2020 at 9:36 am #217611It would me much better if you actually told us the table and/or showed us the script. In general, deleting something from the script will just disable it from being used, but, deleting content in a sub in a incorrect way will most probably make the table script invalid. If what you are trying to do is inside a sub. Copy and paste the sub.
Rename the original sub’s name, then test to your harts content. If you really blow it, delete the copy and try again.

December 31, 2020 at 10:26 am #217618It is for Demon’s Tilt, I can get it to run as is or with removing the first set of flipper lighting commands (A0,A1) in Key to Rom, but if I remove the second set that are in the middle area it fails. I like the other effects, just don’t want a lightshow every time I hit the flipper.
