a lot of times when playing games for some reason i get kicked out of the game and back to pup , if i play the games direct without pup they play perfect with no issues, i also noticed it seems to be when i have held the flipper button in a while , is there a setting ive missed somewhere perhaps ?

the only way to get popper to come back/up is via the exit emulator key… nothing else can bring it back. Even if you vpx crashes inside a table you will be back to your windows desktop and still must press exit Emu key to see popper…
So, i’d guess that you are somehow triggering the exit emu key. maybe your controller has shift-keys setup that can trigger the exit-key.
what are you using as an exit key? maybe you have a joybutton and a key setup and have something like x360ce triggering as well….

hi,
i only have my exit button on the cab, i thought at first i may have been accidentally pressing it ,but i kept an eye on it and i am no where near it when it happens, i dont have any shift key options on my pc2 board so cant be that ?

I bet you may have something like “Sticky Keys” enabled in windows that may be causing a problem?

I agree with TerryRed.
Hit your shift key 5 times.
It will bring up this Sticky Keys menu window.
Click “Go to the Ease of Access Center to disable this shortcut.”
It will bring up this window, where you need to uncheck “Turn on Sticky Keys when SHIFT is pressed 5 times”

I did think that as well but I remember it popping up right at the beginning and I turned them off also it never exits the games when running them direct through fx3 or vpx only when through pup

Been playing with this a bit today and it seems totally random when it exits, no sticky keys etc are on, I’ve disconnected keyboard and exit button on cab and it still does it :(

is it just exiting game? or exiting game and showing Popper menu with all videos playing and you can use the wheelbar?
if you are seeing the Popper Menu then its your exit emu key…..try changing the key to something else totally different in Popper and see if it goes away…

Well this is strange doesn’t matter what I change exit key to in vpx or pinup when I press the exit button on my cab it takes me out the game and back to popper but won’t let me out of popper unless I press the key on my keyboard I have changed it to?

Unless you have a dedicated button to exit Popper…you need to goto the System Menu through Popper navigation and select System Exit from there.

Dont confuse the terms…
Exit Emulator=Exit your table back to Popper
Menu Select=Select the highlighted game/action/menu/playlist
Menu Return=Go Back
Menu/System Exit=Exit Popper
System Menu=Shutdown,Restart,Exit Popper
Game Start=Start Game instantly without going into the Game’s Menu
Game Next=Scroll Right
Game Prior=Scroll Left
….etc
