KL25Z microcontroller board What do I do with it?

I purchased a KL25Z microcontroller board from DigiParts.  I got it, I plugged into USB, I got a COM 3 assigned to it by windows.  I ready I needed software so I did some searching the only thing I found for Visual Pinball is a Viurtuapin Controller, but it acts like it doesn’t recognize it, and I see no option in the menu to choose a com port.  It talks about uploading firmware etc.   I see they offer a version of it looks like the same board, in a box for 6 X the price. Is there item different then what I got from Digiparts?  Maybe that is why it’s not registering it?   I also came across the instruction to search for Setting up the USB game controller nothing is showing up.

It seem like when I moved the board it register different color lighting, so I think it will work just fine.  I am just at a loss of how to make it work with VPX tables.  I could not find a video or anything on this board on actually setting up, if I need to return it and buy the other board I will.

Okay let me try this other software, I read that was for some other version of pinball emulation.  I’ll report back after I get off work and thoroughly reach that link…

the VirtuaPin controller  and the Pinscape Controller use the same  KL25z board

the VirtuaPin controller firmware is not publicly available.   You can only buy a replacement Kl25z board pre loaded with the

VIrtuaPin firmware directly from them for $100

you can download the  configuration utility,  but you can’t load the VirtuaPin firmware to your Kl25z with this software.

 

If you want to use the Kl25z as a plunger nudge and button controller;

you either need to make your own firmware  or install the Pinscape solution by MJR
