This PuPPack requires Pinup Popper and Pinup Player installed and updated to 1.4 or higher.

System: Visual Pinball X (version 10.5+)

-using the transparent Screen for Superleo and for Bonus and Millionbonus events(

REQUIREMENTS: IMPORTANT!

Visual Pinball X 10.5 All in One or higher installed (this is to include newest B2S Server):

DMDEXT:

DMDExt 1.71 (32 bit/x86 files only!) or higher installed in your VPinMAME folder and configured to enable PUPCapture!

This PuP-Pack relies on monitoring the freezy dmdext DMD for specific images to trigger videos and music (PuPCapture). This needs both the freezy 1.71+ “dmddevice.dll” file, and the Pinup Player “dmddevicePUP.dll” file in your VPinMAME folder.

Ensure PuPCapture is enabled in the dmddevice.ini file (in your VPinMAME folder):

Note: If you are using a real DMD, then ensure that the freezy virtual DMD is disabled in the dmddevice.ini file:

PINMAME:

In the PinMAME settings for LW3 (press F1 during gameplay):

– you must have “Use External DMD (DLL)” enabled. This will enable the freezy dmdext dmddevice.dll to be used, which is needed for PuPCapture.

DMDs can now be ANY colour (or DMD colour mod) you want! This is a NEW feature with Freezy 1.71 files installed! There is no longer a requirement to have your DMD a specific colour for PuP-Packs in VPX!

Amazing job Frank! I know how much time you put in to this and I have a much better appreciation for how much work goes into these PuP-Packs that you and others create. Thanks Trochjochel, it’s a really well done pup pack.  I’m not a fan of the real pin, some of the sound bites drive me nuts lol but that doesn’t take away the polish on the job you did.  Really does a great job of enhancing the DMD itself and really using the advantages of the PUP system (I suppose I should say thanks to nailbuster too so thanks @nailbuster ;) ).

 

Irrelevant to the job you did, playing LW3 for the first time on the 4K pincab we can see that although the author did a really good job, it also shows there is a need for new art assets.  I’ll keep an eye out in case anyone has one locally.

I am with you the table needs a little upgrade. But i can play this table as real pin every week in our arcade and i live the theme and the table so i had to do a puppack to make the table better in vpx.

Can you elaborate on “not working”, like not at all?  Both need the latest version of Pup to work properly.  Latest version is very recent

if Spiderman was the last that was running then you have to update to Pinup 1.4 (StarTrek, Jaws ,Lw3,Indy, and Spiderman update only working with Pinup1.4

is there a way to tell which version you have installed.  I just downloaded 1.4,  Do I just drag it over to update.  If so is there anything, like the config file, that I don’t want to replace in order to keep my settings

It may say in your windows, add and removes what current version you’re on – mine says 1.36
Make sure you make a backup
