This is a Mod of the Neo LED Table who is a Mod of JP’s Lord of the Rings.
So this People have done the most work, i played only with the graphics.
I changed pretty mutch everything: new playfield and plastics, lights and removed most of “Stern’s Toyshop”. Left in Gandalf, Saruman and some Ork’s. i think they fitted well into the table. The rest is gone.
I don’t liked the table because of it’s very bad graphics, but while playing, the table had grown on me. So i decided to make this Mod.

I absolutely LOVE the FP version of LOTR which all the VP tables are based on… but one thing they all had in common is a bad scan of playfield, apron,etc
Your TWD mod is my favorite version of that table….and this version of LOTR in VP looks so much nicer with these new custom images!
I could never get on board with the mindset of “original or nothing”. We desperately need good scans of this game, and all these years I haven’t seen any. So I would MUCH rather have a really nice looking custom version ANY day, and what you did here is fantastic! Well done!

Need to play it again and see if I can make it to the final wizard-end mode….I think one of the most difficult tables to really get to that…but a joy doing so with this beauty!

Agreed on that custom artwork is sometimes better than bad scans.
Is there a solution to the the awful audio quality on this table? Did stern really release the table with such bad audio?

@jonch919 The problem is most likely that you have the internal pinmame volume too high for this table. It is a known fact. The solution is turning it down a few notches and then use the volume on the PC instead. A good tip is to get PinVol for all those different tables and volumes.

Do you mean the volume adjustment in the table service menu?

I was just about to post that I wasn’t getting any sound , and then I remembered reading that someone posted about the roms from VPF don’t always work and to try the rom from VPU. I downloaded the lotr from here and now it works..although the first time I ran it, it said it was”corrupted”. Thanks for the table. Look so much better
