This table is growing on me. Recommend everyone to give it a second try if you didn’t like it at first. I did however like it but didn’t understand much about what to do. Randr and Roth have really made a nice reproduction here. I has become my second most appreciated “original”. Normally, non pinmame controlled games are too easy. I find that this is not the case for Mad Scientist and still my favourite Serious Sam by JP. They both have really nice feel to them. I prefer Serious Sam because of the speed, music and the fact that shots just flows better. But, it is really a close race between them that’s for sure.

Need a quick break from playing Jaws for a good 5 hours! lol

Can point me to a seperate UltraDMD install rather than a VP all in one installer please?

How is desktop working with a backglass, by looking at the script it’s only going to load a backglass if you running fullscreen?

Rah, give up can’t even find it on VPF.

Had to trawl through the VPF to find it, xenoph said didn’t work but its does here.

Desktop view was pretty bad, I know you probably didn’t go to any length there. Going to have a couple more games..

It’s kinda ugly by design really :) if you google mad scientist full tilt 2! pinball you will be able to compare it to original windows 95/98 version of the game.

Thanks for the POV settings i will add them to the updated build along with a few other tweaks to be re-upped soon :good:

Well, it is the minimal version of it … no warnings – it just goes directly into tilt. I fixed almost 40 tables like this earlier today. Almost all EMs so it was fine. I have a few that I should really use a bit more time on since they probably could benefit from warnings + timer. This table included. Shipping it over though.

It has STATs fix in there as well.

I looked at the video of the original on YT a couple of days back when I saw the video to this. I saw a few more too, pretty decent for ’95, Pyscho pinball on Genesis could’ve been around the same time.

It’s fun and not surprised you got sucked into it back in the day. I didn’t notice any problems, managed to get 10 million, “clone balls”. Only really got confused by the faded score on the top right, I thought I had added 2 players at one point.

You don’t know sometimes if the ball save is on, if that left outlane gets you, I’m nudging away and nearly tilt, but ball comes flying back out anyway.

On closer inspection the ball save lamp is name “ballsaverlight`”. See the apostrophe at the end that name (don’t know if that’s already pointed out)

Yah…when doing the MX Leds for this table…. couldn’t really find the nudge or tilt sections…well the sections that actually work (it was a WIP still).  I wanted to add the nudge and “TILT” effects for MX leds still.

If you could help me find those with the new update I can add those effects in.

If you can help me with how to find the tilt and nudge…not only with VP original / EM tables but also rom based tables that would be great too. Easy to do with FP…but I’m still learning with VPX.

In what must be 80% of the tables the sub is simply called checktilt if that is what you’re after. You kind of see that if some values are over a threshold it does stuff. Some sends text to backglass, disables bumpers and stuff like that. Some then calls a new sub – tableoff or something like that. Easy to find since checktilt is normally only 10 lines of code.

For mechanical plumb it is kind of easier. You don’t need to check how much the plumb has moved. It has already passed the threshold since the key-press ( a tilt bob is a key-press ) is already sent. Give me a table and I’ll send you an example of it if you can’t figure it out.

VPM. Sorry. Not within my skill-set yet. Just haven’t had the need to go looking, the authors seem to have that covered.

cool table. However, for some retarded reason, the B2S won’t load when running this via pinball X. just a black screen. It loads fine from the editor. Anyone any idea why pbx would have an issue loading the BG? I have a few tables where I get script errors running via pbx but not from editor. Something about the way pbx executes tables seems to be jacking up just a few select tables, keeping them from running. Sooooo frrrustrating!

Just to clarify, UltraDMD will not install on my Windows Vista 64bit, it never completes installation from either the All-In-One VPX installer, or from actual link at UltraDMD site. I think it is something to do with Vista. I can’t get P-Roc installed either.

(But I do have it installed on my future cabinet computer, which has Win 10. Waiting to get a 1080p screen, before I mess with anything on that computer, as it has all the videos done in 1080p, but screen is 720p at this moment, so I don’t want to have to redo all those tables videos.)

I am sure it works for everyone else though.

I love seeing video game pinball recreated in VP. Most of my pinball-related early childhood comes from old PC games or that one time I played a Flight 2000 at my cousin’s house. I never played Full Tilt! Pinball 2 tables, but I played the original Full Tilt! Pinball’s tables (Space Cadet, Dragon’s Keep, and Skulduggery). I also played 3D Ultra Pinball: Creep Night. I was so terrible playing these games as a little kid, it’s funny coming back to them now and actually understanding how the modes and scoring works.

Anyways, kudos and thanks to the crew who brought this recreation to life!

Wow, amazing how one little change can fix a problem. lol. and the b2s loads faster now to! Thanks for a really cool table. Thanks for the tip as always. FYI, still never got resolution to the medusa and Flash Gordon script errors when running only via PBX. Wonder if there is something similar going on? Have gotten no response on gameex forum in like 2 weeks. Oh well. I’ll live without a couple of tables. just makes me wonder though with this issue if there is somelthing similar.

You’re first problem is using vista,  In my opinion Vista is garbage and should be incinerated and forgotten, do yourself a favour and upgrade to win7 for your arcade machines.  I know it probably seems like a daunting task but I think you should just bite the bullet.

When vista came out I stuck with XP until win7 came out and only added win7 once I was confident it wasn’t going to cause any microsoft-type issues with my set ups.

@rothbauerw Solved! I think the issue was I had the old vpt version + the vpx version in the tables folder and it was still pulling the vpt file somehow when running pbx. After deleting the vpt file, it works! same issue with Medusa. so I need to make sure I delete the vpt file before trying to run it in pbx. weird but I’ll take it.

Most people keep VP9, PM5 and VPX in separate folders because of possible issues like you describe.
