I said it before, but I have to say it AGAIN! This is such a nice table. Can’t stop playing. :P Everything just feels so “right”! And of course, it really is a great table to start with. It also runs very smoothly and I get a steady 165fps which is not always the case on my rig with other tables.
Does that monitor/tv refresh +60hz? My only and next upgrade is a 43″ 144hz when they become realistically priced. 4k 60hz is doing justttt fine for now.
Also, you need to get that colored ROM from vpu to really round off the look.
"Fuck this game. I love it."
Ah, thanks, I didn’t know there was a color Rom. Will definitely check it out!
Regarding the screen, when I built the cab this summer I opted for a 27″ 165hz solution (mini/midi cab) . I decided that high fps was more important for me than 1:1 pinball machine likeness. Once you get used to 100+ fps you can’t go back! ?

November 5, 2019 at 9:51 pm #150261Awesome work to all involved! It looks soooooo good. What I love the most is the physics. It feels incredible. I feel you can do more tricks with the ball and flippers. Was able to do drop catch easier and think I also did a live catch. All tables now need updating with these settings starting with Metallica! ;)

November 7, 2019 at 11:51 pm #150497Well, fantastic release. Just got a chance to try it, 1st game 4 million +, second game 58 million+ and it wasn’t a cake walk like many games on previous versions. I felt it was a truly rewarding experience to get that score and put up my initials. Roth: I had just about nothing on my first ball so I know what you mean lol

November 9, 2019 at 12:11 am #150648Wow Skitso, this really is just awesome. So close to the real thing that I go play around the corner at the arcade.
Thank you Tom Tower and Ninuzzu for the fabulous Medieval Madness Reloaded that I have thoroughly enjoyed since it’s release.
Team ROTHBORSKI: Skitso, rothbauerw and bord…..that’s some super talent right there…..thank you all for your gift.

November 10, 2019 at 10:14 pm #150777Its been some time since I have installed/upgraded a new table.
First of all, the table runs and looks great!
The only issue im having currently, is that since upgrading to this new version of MM, the B2S server never loads. All other games load the B2S server fine, but this one table now does not.
Again, since its been quite awhile, I cannot remember the fix for this.
Any ideas?

November 11, 2019 at 12:24 am #150796If you have a new db2s server, then the fuzzy matching for the db2s names is not there by default. Meaning, your db2s file needs to be 100% the same as the table name. Re-check, as it is working for me. What I use to do is to mark the table name – then right click and go to properties, then I copy the table’s name to clipboard. Then head over to the db2s and rename. I then paste the copied text ( becomes <tablename>.vpx.direct2bs> – at that point the cursor is placed so that all I need to do is to hit backspace 4 times and enter and it will be exact – no matter how weird the table originally is called.

November 12, 2019 at 11:42 am #150938A bit of an update, the table and B2S indeed load just fine when starting the table directly from within VPX (10.6).
However, the issue is when running from PinballX. Only this table when started from PinballX will not run the B2S server. Running all other tables from PinballX will run the b2S sever fine.
So for some reason it’s PinballX not wanting to start the server for this game or somehow preventing the server from starting.

November 12, 2019 at 12:18 pm #150940Oh. That puts things in a different genre. You haven’t considered installing PinballY ? It doesn’t hurt giving it a try. I was kind of an early adopter to it. Had issues from day one, and gave up on it as it lacked a few things that PBX gave me. I came back and re-tried it some revisions back, and I haven’t looked back. Faster, built-in recorder, re-use of all my media and less weird things happening was reason enough for me to switch permanently. Last time I started PBX, was actually by accident and the first thing it did was crash on me :)

November 12, 2019 at 12:48 pm #150941Are you on the latest version of Pinballx — https://www.gameex.info/forums/files/file/527-pinballx/A bit of an update, the table and B2S indeed load just fine when starting the table directly from within VPX (10.6).

November 12, 2019 at 12:53 pm #150943I am not. After my last post I see that PinballX has some updates available. Seems my issue is that im running an older version of PinballX that doesnt play nice with VPX 10.6 tables.
I will upgrade my PinballX version and see if that helps.
On a related topic, are there other Frontend alternatives to PinballX that people now prefer? I dont really have a problem with PinballX, just wondering if Im using a dated frontend.

Yeah, I’m a 165hz gamer too. As you get used to that, anything below, and the gameplay feels broken. :D
