Hi,

 

I have installed the new VPX metallica premium monsters…with the mL_170h rom..which is listed in direct output…however I only get the odd strobe light and the odd yellow flash from a couple of my RGB flashers. any ideas?….watching several videos and playing the table the has loads of lighting going on.

I have a zebs bar with 5 RGB flashers and 2 strobes….works fine with everything else…just this table?

Go to your account for the DOF config tool

http://configtool.vpuniverse.com/login.php

make sure you have the 170 rom selected not the older 164 rom for this table, then re-download the config files and drop where required

Just done this and mtl_170 is selected..Ive updated it anyway and still no joy….just getting strobes on ramps only, yellow right flasher (when ball launched) and centre yellow flasher only…confused

mtl_170h and mtl_170 are two different tables. 170h is LE and 170 is standard.

still no joy… ;(

I have the mtl170LE.bin rom, zipped as mL_170h…and the game loads fine. In my direct output config the 170h rom is chosen for the Metallica premium version…and still no joy…the odd yellow light, odd strobe and my motor for the cross.

Ok. You seem to do it correctly at least. I did experience about a month back that my config update wasn’t correct. I then just re-downloaded and it was OK. I expect you’ve tried that several times. You don’t take backups of you machine ? You could try to compare the table mapping file from the backup an now and see if there are any major differences on the old vs the new. Obviously you will have to compare 164 vs 170 now.

What ? Really ? Ok. That sounds really odd. Do you still have both 1.4 and 1.5 around ? Do they act the same ?

I would love to help you. But, I can’t come to think of anything to help you on the way I’m afraid. No antivirus or other crap installed ?

nope nothing….

its really strange…every other table works amazing…

Ive just redone everything once more and have these elements only – can’t be correct considering the amount of lighting on the table – is it something to do with the script?

Anyway this is what I am getting:

right outer ramp – yellow outside RGB flasher

both metal ramps – strobe

slingshots – outer RGB flashers red

left top lane above bumpers – yellow middle RGB flasher

full feedback from contactors/knocker/motors etc

I must admit I haven’t had time to play the updated 1.5 much yet. I’m planning on it though .But, I’m sure that the few rounds I gave it felt great. So, I expect that I would notice anything odd. I will give this table a new whooping this weekend since my wife is going away and i’ll have friends over ;)
