Hi folks,

The problem is solved. And I feel soooo stupid.

I used winrar and not winzip, so the file was a rar file and it must be a zip file.

So mtl_170h.zip works perfect.

Sorry for wasting your time.

@thalamus I guess I hadn’t update my PC here at work. You are correct I did have to rename them, once I updated. I know I did the one at home so I’ll be sure to check them there also.

you either do not have the proper rom in roms folder or you have it named wrong. skim through this thread you will see issue answered at least 10 times

make sure you have the newest:
VPM
SAMbuild
SAM.vbs

also…. make sure you have the correct rom selected in the script:
mtl_170h = premium
mtl_170hc = premium  (color)

always test the rom in VPM to make sure the rom is working

if its not any of these

hey guys i have read all posts

 

so i am donloading the gamecode from the stern website , it is 180Le.bin

ill change the name to 170h cause i dont got a colored rom

zip that to mtl_170h  and change it in the script.

Yes. You can do that. But the latest VPM (beta 3.2 ) supports mtl_180h.zip so I think you should keep it named like that and change in the script. It is not a good idea to mix the roms like that. VPM could get confused ( I’m guessing now ) because there is extra code made for mtl_170h that makes the flipper response faster.

This thread being reborn reminded me…anyone else getting the right ramp ball rolling sound looping until ball drain?  I’m sure I can hunt it down, but figured I’d toss it here first in case others experience it.  Will post a fix if no one beats me to it.
