December 24, 2015 at 1:59 pm #9247i saw the movie long ago, i understand why it is banned, one scene went too far, but i found it on the web without a problem, if you like extreme movies, one i saw that i will remember is martyrs, the whole movie is psychologically hard, i don’t want to see it again.. :)
Now I have to check that out …. but not gonna see it in this time of the year lol, I’ll wait for 2016 ;) thanks

December 24, 2015 at 5:20 pm #9250Great table, I set the day/night slider to halfway and after playing my pals real Stern Metallica – I think that is about the right setting to emulate the real machine for the visuals.
Have no idea about the sound problem, it is quiet. Those files are in the .BIN file I think???
I dare say revisions will be made, but I have to say – it plays real good next to the real machine. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
December 24, 2015 at 6:47 pm #9256For sound, there’s an extra setting. If you press 0, it will bring up the option menu in the ROM. Navigate to standard adjustments, use 8/9 to move left/right in the menu. You’ll find a Music Volume setting that seems to be at 1 by default. You can turn it up to 15 and that might help you.

December 24, 2015 at 10:02 pm #9261I am having an issue running the table on my desktop. I have tried using both the 2419 VP10 beta as well as the full PinballX release. I get an error when trying to compile the table. I assume it is looking for the B2S.server? I noticed in the script there isn’t the usual VPinMAME option which I usually have to change it to in order to get tables to run.

December 24, 2015 at 10:07 pm #9263Thx for the table
But my DOF wont work om this table??
Works on all other tables.
What am i doing wrong?
Go into VP/user/controller/forcedisableB2S= (change to whatever the other number would be 1 or 0)
Yep. That fixed it. Any clue as to why I have never had to change that before to get tables to run?

December 25, 2015 at 12:30 am #9277It’s a new controller option in the last VPX beta
why is that so bright! maybe it would be better to reduce the bloom strength if you’re going to jack up the brightness like that lol, you can’t read the inserts can you

December 25, 2015 at 1:08 am #9282Yeah you are probably right. The weird thing is I only have the night>day setting up 1/3 of the way. On this one I put the bloom at 0 and the ambient occlusion at 2. It’s really nice to have these options in VP10.

December 25, 2015 at 3:52 am #9289very nice job, may be a first little quote, as from all the real MET pins i have played, including mine, when ball is ejected from the scoop, it goes on the left flipper, not the right…
working like a charm on my son gamer-laptop, its OK on my old desktop (only when in hot MB is a prob), but for sure no VPX on the even more old system cab… ;)
than, we all know (…) that MET was already available from time in FS VP9, can we have it now available please ?

December 25, 2015 at 5:18 am #9295the controller.vbs looks for b2s.server but if you don’t have it, it will load vpinmame.controller
you don’t have to chĂ nge the value of forcedisableb2s, it is mostly for the developers, to temporary force using vpinmame.controller

December 25, 2015 at 5:57 am #9310ok, take the updated version of vpx in vpforums, that fix the issue if you don’t have b2s.server, so you don’t need to play with the value of the forcedisableb2s, the controller.vbs autodetects b2s and if you don’t have it, it will not launch it, but will launch vpinmame.controller, or no controller for EM tables

December 25, 2015 at 7:16 am #9314I don’t know, it’s just a different way of writing code. Fren or whoever wrote the code used the controller.vbs instead of core.vbs, which makes the pin launch a script looking for the backglass/controller. If you don’t have the backglass/b2s, it throws you an error that tables/metallica/122315b.directb2s not found. I never answered yes when I launched the table, which may have fixed it but who knows. So I just went into the VP/user/controller/forcedisableB2S= (change to whatever the other number would be 1 or 0) and changed it myself. The thing is, on my old machine that I use for pinball, I can’t run b2s because it makes the table run slow/frame drops/ lag, whatever you want to call the issue. If I turn off the b2s the pin will run smooth as glass.
LMAO (I’m poor), I use a:
Dell Optiplex 760 Core2 Duo E8400@3.00
4GB Ram
120GB SSD
GT 430/1GB
Windows 8.1 64bit
32″ Magnavox TV FS for VP, FP and Pinball Arcade
and a old stereo for the sound
It all works great! You need to login in order to like this post: click here

December 25, 2015 at 1:20 pm #9339take the vpx version again from vpforums, and you can let the forcedisableb2s to 0, it will ignore b2s if you don’t have it

Run the VP10 .exe as Admin and read through this thread.

December 25, 2015 at 1:55 pm #9343Yes as arngrim said, it seems as if there was a bug in the first final release of VPX that caused problems if you didn’t even have b2s installed. forcedisableb2s fixed that but this is a better solution!

December 25, 2015 at 2:09 pm #9347Here are the two errors. I tried running VP10 as admin but still receive the errors. Works fine though if I use really’s workaround.
Edit: If there is a new version of VPinballX today I’ll try that.
