A little over a year ago, I spotted a virtual cab in a pic on Pinside in someone’s game room.  I zoomed in.  What?? is this??I got to work finding out what this was all about  …and now have a 3 screen cab I built from scratch.
This community of devs and contributors is…mind blowing.
I feel like I’m in the middle of getting a college degree.  I have mounds of notes and hours watching vids.  And so many on this site and others have been like professors working for free.
Wow!

Learning about the drama and discord that has unfolded over the years is something I’d like to hear more about some day.
But not today.

Gwen, if you’re reading..I showed my team that helped me build my cab your pics and vids.
Jaws dropped.

No it doesn’t. But @wildman took charge, and made sure that VPU hosts at least the work the Tom and Ninuzzu had their fingers in is hosted over there now. ( with permissions to do so ) Other titles, like The Shadow that is currently hosted and modified here is “in the gray area”. If the author contacts admins or Skitso, it will be be taken down. We simply don’t know how to get in contact and ask for proper permissions to mod and host a few of those tables. So, we’re kind of gambling on that it is ok for now.

So aside from the “drama” or personal feelings, does that mean if you have some of Tom Towers tables they can be posted on VPuniverse? I’m asking because I’m LATE to the party and the people I have asked that have some from then dont know if its ok or not.. but sounds like it would be?.. and what about Pinball58 tables, will they be re-hosted anywhere?

@karlor : Randr is right. I believe all TT and Ninuzzu’ tables are up on VPU (thanks to Wildman). There are of course other tables that was only hosted on mbpc that are kind of lost for the moment. The Shadow, is as you can see now up here in a modified version. We could have done a better job at hunting the author down. I actually was fooled by a post JPSalas did a while back. But, in the end understood who Alessio was and asked if it was ok to continue on his work here. Reading his response, he said he would have hoped that we asked first, but, he also gave a thumbs up for re-use of his work. Pinball58 however. Is another Italian. And I have no clue to who he is. I would appreciate if anyone could help me track him down. Again, I’m not doing this to get the tables hosted here. I just want to find a place where the author is ok for them to be hosted for the future. Pinball58 made some cracking releases and it is a shame that they where only available from mbpc.

@Thalamus  That’s what I’m after, just find a spot, any spot, that hosts these great lost beauties. I missed the boat with monster bash and whenever Im searching around everyone links to MB and I was scratching my head trying to find it. I hope Pinball58 finds one of these sites sooner or later as well as the other authors whos tables got swept up in the vanishing.

Kind of reminds me of this flight sim terrain site that had a crash and lost significant sections of some really nice FSX terrain and to this day its still gone as it was the only place hosting the files and the author is MIA for years.

The way I read the response from Alessio himself was that he was ok with us continuing his work. I believe he did Spiderman too. Just to be sure. If anyone is tempted to pick up Spiderman, it would be a good idea to ask him politely though before you post a dropbox link or upload it anywhere. As long as the author isn’t native English speaking, it can lead to misunderstandings quickly. Pinball58 is still someone I hope to find. I have no clue to who he is at the moment. Except that I love his Fish Tales and was it Space Station ? What I do know though, is that there are at least a handful of tables that isn’t available for the moment.
