I know it’s not pinball related but it does go nicely with my Tesla cabinet…

Anyway this is my current work in progress. A 1/6 scale model of the time machine from the 1960 George Pal movie. The build started out as a build of a resin garage kit but I have now replaced nearly all the resin parts that were supposed to be metal with real metal parts I made… mostly brass and copper. There is a lot of detailed metal work in this project and lot of hand painting I have done on the dish. I am also particularly proud of the brass scrollwork details I made on the front of the control console.

I am still working on connecting an electric motor to the dish drive system I built so that the model will actually work like the prop in the movie did.  Once that’s done I can add the remaining details to finish it up.

I have been working on this project for about four months now.

Make sure you install a Space time continuum GPS unit
I hope you can find it after you turn it on

I did some finishing touches on the cab.  I finally got the stain evened out on the lockdown bar, I made a solid dome out of clear epoxy resin for the Stern-type lockdown bar button (kinda looks like the top of Wardenclyffe tower), and added some lightning bolts to the coin door.

Wow.  This build just continues to amaze.    but Star Trek??  You should have randr’s Jigsaw on there for these pics!!  Or, didn’t Fren have a Jules Verne game semi-done? Just being silly.  Looks stunning!

Actually I was going to use the jigsaw table but chose Star Trek so you could see the button illumination.  I’ll post a photo with the jigsaw table just for you =)

Or I may frame it.  Love the very unique creativity both your build and randr’s Jigsaw brings to this community.  I think I found this bizarre hobby at just the right time.

    This is for @randr =)

I have been trying to take some better photos of his Jigsaw table on my cabinet but I have been finding getting the right lighting to be difficult.  Anyway hopefully these are a little better.

Your build Gwen continues to boggle.  And randr’s Jigsaw is so perfect for your wonky Tesla cab.  They were meant for each other.  I find this game an amazing portal to the past.  First game I load up when introducing someone to VP.  I have a pic of your cab I also show.    and minds are blown.
