April 11, 2019 at 2:13 pm #123771Thanks for the kind words guys. My next step is breaking it down to router the aluminum led channels in now that I know were the tv sits. I am also going to router in wire slots under the sliding hinges on the pull out dof tray. Then glue and screw the cabinet back together and get ready for paint. After that I will move it to my basement in the house and do vinyl and finally assemble. Be a good project down there on the hot summer days when I am feeling lazy.

June 19, 2019 at 10:46 pm #133176I primed my cab with an oil based primer, then let it dry for a week and lightly sanded it with 220 grit. Then painted it with Benjamin moore’s advanced cabinet paint. Dries really hard but tough to work with. They like 16 hrs between coats and 3 days dry for a hard finish to assemble. I took my decals to the store and they scanned them for a color match. I just sprayed the purple tonight. It turned out great. Now for patience. I am going to leave it alone for a week before I stick the graphics.

See how it looks when I finally get to the light show stage. They are recessed so the TV clears and pivots by.coin door now has molex conectors.

July 31, 2019 at 3:24 pm #139793This build is mind blowing. Do you work for (own?) a pinball company? Is that you Gary?? Getting into VP? Will love seeing a video of this when complete.

Thanks Jr, No pinball company here. I am Nathan from Montana. I am a locomotive engineer. This is my first pinball build. I have been studying and looking at these things for the last 5 years. I must have read and studied that pinball electrical 101, 20 times and looked surfed over and read so many builds. I am very hands on with old cars. Used to do auto body before working the rails. My carpenter skills are so so. I understand basic electricity and get scared with computers. Without this website and Google search, and many wonderful you tube videos from Ranr, Terry red and many others I would not have tried. Thank you all pinballers out there :good:
