Great work on this one Bodydump.

October 17, 2016 at 1:52 pm #39140i had sent an update to bodydump with updates for gear and contactor on ramps and animals moving, never got a reply, but it would be a shame to keep it from me, so here’s the script update ;)

If I use that script my flippers work, but they don’t move. It just might be the coolest fault that I’ve ever had ;) (would make a nice addition to the X-Files table lol)

October 17, 2016 at 9:37 pm #39168works here fine. running rev 2798 on cab with arngrims script mods
But I feel gophers should be solenoid instead of motor no?

Same issue here. I think there is some fiddling around happening with flipper physics on VP at the moment. I’m running rev2806.

October 17, 2016 at 10:37 pm #39173It works correctly for me if using official 1.0 version from Bodydump
If using Ck’s version 1.01 then flippers don’t move
+1 to the gophers being solenoids instead of gear motor IMHO

October 17, 2016 at 11:57 pm #39178gofers full up and down are contactors, just the small down and up are gear, do you confirm?

October 18, 2016 at 4:20 am #39182The corrected version 1.01 was only done as Bodydump said that there are a lot of problem – so I corrected most of them. I’m using the latest beta of 10.2 for it so maybe that’s the reason why the flippers are not moving with an older exe?

I’m using 10.2 with 1.01 with no problems.

October 19, 2016 at 1:55 am #39223nobody replies but i tested it again myself, gofers up and down = contactors, small movement = gear because the small up and down are too fast for the contactors it will not render good, that’s why it is like that

Sounds good @Arngrim, makes sense when you explain the logic. I’m not a big fan or lots of gear motors so why i noticed it in first place. Easy fix for my personal preferences. Thanks for all the work you do

October 20, 2016 at 11:18 am #39311I found out that it’s better that ramp162, 163 and 164 is better with top height 167 (instead of 163). But all in all the method with ramps and a texture for the upper playfield is not the best solution. A friend and I are planning a primitive that replaces this construction.
Moreover I’ll get a NGG highres scan of the translite soon.

October 22, 2016 at 5:48 am #39421As the kickers sometimes swallowed balls without releasing them again I asked Ninuzzu to check the script. He found the old problematic trough script and changed it to the new method. Let’s see if that’s the cause and the solution for the weird behavior.
New version uploaded, just use the old dropbox link from page 2.

November 4, 2016 at 1:05 pm #40324Bodydump, I have a big improvement for you for NGG!
First I replace the whole upper playfield construction. Removed all ramps and walls as this was never fully working as it should have. Implemented a new primitive plexi, fully collideable. 3D construction done by Tom Tower. It’s an exact reproduction of the real part, including the slanting parts at the rear left and right side – the ball can now really fall into the left and right ramp! :)
The second best improvement is the new code implementation from DJRobX – the speed and rotation direction of the spinning wheel is now fully ROM controlled! Just use the latest VPM. Look over at his thread in VPU.
I corrected a lot of physics related things in addition to the changes from last time again. And the lower left kickback kicks the ball to the right orbit (as it should be) to be able to shoot the left ramp with the upper right flipper.
Replaced some sounds.
In my personal opinion it plays exactly as the real machine now! :)
Just try this and let me know if there are any problems remaining!
Edit: If you already downloaded it, please redownload – I fixed a small problem.

November 4, 2016 at 2:58 pm #40327Wheel looks very realistic with the varying speeds. For anyone with the wheel not working, 110216 VPM by DJRobX is the first version with which it will work.

November 5, 2016 at 8:34 pm #40378Great updates Clark!
The disc changes are a big improvement. I noticed you went back to the old script however and the movement is a bit choppy. My script updates appear to still work and IMO produce a smoother result. I can provide the code again if you’re interested.

November 6, 2016 at 12:07 am #40382Nice… I bet the VPM wheel combined with the smooth wheel is a very great wheel.
