      Has anyone else tried this?

From what I have read on various forums there are those that would like to “stream” the video overlays from some FP Tables to a 3rd screen, kinda like what FutureDMD does but for Video Overlays not just DMDs.

Well this program, OnTopReplica does work for this purpose but it requires alot of manual intervention. First you have to render the overlay to the translite (if there are multiple Video Overlays stacked up you would have to do all of them to get all video). SO yeah then you have the video hanging out on your backglass which kinda is not what you really want cuz you want it on a 3rd monitor. Then you have to launch OnTopReplica and tell it which window to clone. Then you have to select just the region of the video overlay to clone. All this is being done on on your 3rd monitor with your mouse and you have to do it everytime you launch the table……so it is not really ideal for a cabinet setup……but hey it works. If only there were some way to automate the launch of the program and the selection of the window and region via the front launcher script in Popper but I doubt it.

BTWs I am aware of how Terry Red does his screen stretchy method for tricking FP to render onto a 3rd monitor but I don’t think that is gonna work for my screen layout and not for every table that has different Backglass layouts.

Anyway I was just curious if anyone had messed with OnTopReplica in regards to FP and if they have had any success getting it to automatically launch and remember the window region it was “streaming” between sessions.

      Thanks
