      Hi,

how do I browse for custom pupcaps in the PicBrowse from PinUpCapture? I capture all Pinball FX3-DMDs automatically so that I can use them later if needed and don´t have to play just for the pupcaps. For this I changed the dmdext-start inside of PBFX3-Launch Setup (EMUSetupForm) to this:

      “start /min “” “dmdext.exe” mirror –source=pinballfx3 –destination=virtual –virtual-hide-grip –virtual-position=1560 800 1040 -o C:\DMDGrabs\[GAMENAME] -q”

Now I have all DMD-pictures for all played games in C:\DMDGrabs\[GAMENAME] (Aliens e.g.) but I have no idea how to open them in PinUpCapture? Do I have to copy them to a specific path?

      Thanks in advance, Nupsi

          Hi Terry,

and thanks for the fast reply! Of course I saw all of your videos and thanks to you I know how to capture the DMD with PinUpCapture :-) But like I posted earlier, I don´t use PinUpCapture to capture the DMD. Instead I record every game played on my cabinet directly with every start of DMDExt (see above). This way I get all the needed pupcaps for all FX3 tables, even when my familiy is playing. I just don´t know how to open them in PinUpCapture, because there is no way to specify a path or search for pupcaps inside the PicBrowser. Right now I use Photoshop to edit the pupcaps, which is still easy, but I´d prefer using the PicBrowser.

Thx again for your help and your Yt-channel :good:

ok what i am understanding is you want pup capture to pickup every dmd image anytime a player plays the  game and want to be able to retain them all.

            1. open table
            2. run pupcap
            3. close table
            4. stop pupcap
            5. copy pupcap autocapture folder to a specified path  (something like PinUPSystem\PUPVideos\%romname%\timestamp\ )
            6. then be able to open pupcap and browse those images

To get them to show back up all you need to do is copy the folder back to the  default pupcap storage location and choose browse cap and then browse file caps

PinUP Capture is really designed to use its ‘own’ captures….BUT if you have a bunch of bmp (24bit) 128×32 images then you can drop them into the subfolder pupautocapture and then run pupcapture.exe and go browse/files.

You could also use your own editor.  the ‘matchbox’ is just a ‘fixed’ color rectange (pup uses colour matching on load of bmp to find rectangle).  so if you use photoshop, just make the matchbox 100% same rgb value and save as 128×32 24bit bmp.
