After using The pinup system very very successfully on my pinball cabinet!!!
I would like to use it for my Mame Arcade cabinet But the Game wheel menu is running the wrong way (Up the right side) . if i use portrait the arch stays on the side of the screen and the icons move horizontally in a cut off window. how do i get the whole popper system to run along the bottom of a normal 4/3 monitor so it will work with an arcade cabinet. I have seen a video from nail buster where he does this but can’t find any details of Ui setting to get this to work.
I would be great to get this working as it would provide an excellent front end for both arcade and pinball.
Thanks

July 23, 2020 at 10:28 am #192312its pretty simple. you just want to change the custom pos on the wheelbar/menu display in Popper theme setup.
and then play around with the global/wheelbar settings. Remember to reset thumbs when playing around with settings.
custom pos goes like: “master PUPID#”, xpos%, ypos%, width%, height%
so if you wanted it to take up the entire bottom of backglass… 2,0,50,100,50

July 23, 2020 at 10:35 am #192314also note: that although Popper works great as a MAME frontend i don’t provide setup/config support for it. You should be a ‘power’ pc user to figure out all the ins-out of launching emulators.
Here’s some example launch scripts: http://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=mame_setup

July 23, 2020 at 11:22 am #192318Hi Thanks For the reply but this does not help. the numbers don’t work as percentages and they aren’t pixels either not sure whats going on there but the screen is all out of whack with only one icon showing middle of the screen and half width ish and type still up the right side. Probable me not understanding. Re mame I have that sorted there are lots of instructions/ vids. I just want to turn the ui 90 degrees clockwise to work with a normal monitor and not a pinball cabinet. it seams its not so easy, for me at least. I understand you don’t want to give support for other emulators but using the UI in a normal desktop orientation for arcade would be very useful and would allow pin up popper to be use much more widely it is a great system.
Thanks
M

July 23, 2020 at 12:11 pm #192325Right got the percents working (wrong screen ref) my fault.
Re arrange icons for nice fit. (some documentation on the size and width of icons would be helpful but i got there with trail an error.
however the copy still runs vertically up the side of the screen. Now I know the position colour font of this can be changed but how do you change the orientation to run horizontal?
Thanks for the help it is becoming possible

July 24, 2020 at 9:03 am #192437Hi All working now. pin up popper and mame work flawlessly.
I have changed the icons for the top half of arcade cabinets (3d rendered) with correct livery, with the game movie running behind (looks very cool)
Except for the type up the right side. is there a way to alter this or is my only option to remove all the type information.
A point in the right direction would be so helpful
Thanks Again you are amazing.
