The time has come to join the “big boys” with a full size widebody build, last year I completed a midsize(32″/21″/7″) cabinet and had a blast playing it, but after a while I wanted a much larger TV for the playfield. I got a 46″ Samsung 5 Series for the playfield, 32″ for backglass and a 15.6″ laptop screen for DMD.

September 11, 2015 at 9:45 am #297I’m not decasing my 46″ so I routed slots in the sides for the TV, I bought a finished speaker/dmd panel from wolfsoft, it’s a little wider than the normal wpc95 speaker panel so I could fit a 32″ in the backbox.

September 11, 2015 at 9:54 am #308cut holes for 200mm fans and installed a power switch, holes cut for the RGB flasher’s, but after randr’s addressable led video’s I’m not sure if I’ll be using them, maybe mount them on the top/back of the backbox.

September 19, 2015 at 7:11 am #1018If you’re like me you’ll get it painted and then sit there… building the cab is the fun part, installing the electronics is the not fun part :(
Punch it!

September 19, 2015 at 9:11 am #1019I like both phases, it’s fun creating something with your hands :) I can’t wait to actually finish the woodworking and start installing the electronics
