Capcom’s Pinball Magic. Original table by Unclewilly.
Unclewilly did a great job on a very challenging build. I would have never taken on this project without all the hard work he did on this table. This has been on my to do list for the better part of a year and I finally found the inspiration to complete it.
The original build was never fully functional. Thanks to DJRobX for his help figuring out all the switches, timings, and other things to get the stage area all working correctly (btw, DJRobX is crazy smart!).
Also, special thanks to randr for his help with modeling, miscellaneous questions, testing, and smart ass comments. The hand primitive is his. He’s also responsible for making me implement the moving eyes and he did all thee art work.
What new:
- Lighting has all been updated and is now more accurate to design
- Physics
- Updated spiral ramp physics
- Fully functional, stage area now works correctly as does the hand and magnet (you can now fully execute “Silence the Critics”
- Add missing items such as screws and nuts
- Updated flashers using Flupper’s octadomes
- Added playfield, flipper, and ball shadows
- Added/enhanced mechanical sounds
- Surround Sound

Ah. I wondered when you where going to release and update to this table. I remember when you fixed several problems with the table during the VPF game of the week. Looking at the description it sounds like a good idea would be to re-visit this table this afternoon. Thank you very much Roth !

You are correct. I assigned the wrong switch. I’ll post an update later today with a fix.

I’m enjoying a lot this update, thanks, I like very much this table and Kingpin from Capcom too, nice dmd animations and themes, and now it looks and plays better.
Maybe on purpose but I think u erased the Wall51 on the left plastic ramp, with the morphchamber decal image (if u export it from the old file, adjust the position of the wall a little to avoid the double image).

Awesome – I can remember the first release and that a lot of work went into the table to bring this one alive.
Then you fixed the last issue “the magic wand” during the GOTW.
And now this huge table update, the table looks and plays fantastic!
