Pinball (Stern 1977) – EM Version
http://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=4694
This was produced by Stern Electronics in 1977 as an EM version and also a SS version. This is the EM version which plays slightly different from the SS one.
Tom asked me to code up the EM version using the SS release and who am I to turn down working on am EM – lol
These folks I’ll quickly acknowledge as they were involved in the SS version which in turn allowed me to do the EM variant:
Itchigo, @32Assassin, @Bord, @Thalamus, Updon, @posty90, JPSalas, Chris Edler over at pinside
Note: the backglass image is different and I found a really good one on the internet which I chose to use

June 20, 2020 at 7:26 pm #187448awesome, thanks for doing this for us. I also cant wait to see the difference. And for all that dont know, the amount of work that @loserman76 puts into these tables, finding schematics, watching videos, its a real honor to have someone like him around here doing the dirty work for us. Its too easy to add, “use this rom in the script”, but when you have to script every little thing that happens when that ball rolls around, thats alot of work. Thanks !!!!!!

June 21, 2020 at 11:12 am #187570that’s a weird error with the locale(1003) thing. VPX 10.6 right? Must be something left over from the SS code (I shoe-horned my EM logic into the SS code).

June 21, 2020 at 12:49 pm #187597probably need to disable B2S in the preferences then. I’m doing “standard” calls to get B2S running and it should not start if you do not have it configured.

I just double checked & it is disabled. Not sure what is causing it not to load.

June 23, 2020 at 8:08 am #187809Very nice game to play.
Had error line 1079 and line 1089.
I commented out both lines and now it seems to play ok.

June 23, 2020 at 2:18 pm #187853What version of VPX are you using? Version and Build please as I am not seeing this issue. I’m guessing it is related to the setlocale(1033) issue mentioned above.
