PInDMD3 setup in PinMAME

I finally received by PinDMD3 today after a horrible 13 day delivery with USPS, I had to supply a 5V power supply to it which I’m glad I had laying around.   I tried to follow the instruction to a T as best as my knowledge allows, but I hit a snag.   So no drivers are required on windows ten, it was assigned Com 4, which I found a file and I can’t tell you right now what file it was but I edited it and there was a section for a com port so I put the number 4 in there and saved, but it shows a window that it says you much tick use an external DMD, and on that screen, it shows like the rom name, the only screens I am aware of is when I exit a table I can choose scripts, etc.  there is no window like this that I can find….   So I think that is the final thing I need to change.   Right now when I load up the tables my DMD still cycles between colors saying PinDMD.com

Sorry I suffer Atrophy and “comprehension” on instruction is my weak point.  Appreciate any guidance, the tables I have installed is a BW version of Twilight zone, Addams family, Mars Attacks, Jurassic Park.      If this requires me to do tweaking to make color DMD work, I will just stick with native orange.   It doesn’t sound like the games know anything about colors if they were not in color, to begin with.  I hope that is an accurate statement.

In your VPinMame folder run setup.exe change defaults and/or for games you have already run Use F1 during game to change the default for that game
Turn off Show DMD and Turn on external DMD

I ran the Setup64.exe and I got an installation program and I clicked on Setup Defaults, and I got an error box VPinMAME INstallation program (1.42). Can’t create the Controller class! Please check that you have installed Visual PinMAME properly!

Error 0x80040154: Class not registered

I am not sure what that all means, my tables are running fine. so I think its setup properly…

I tried hitting Setup Paths and got the same, error, so I hit install, and instantly it was done, and then when I hit Defailt I got the box you showed and unchecked show DMD, and checked extrenal DMD, and restarted everything, I loaded up a table, I hit F1, made the changes as well, saved, exit out, loaded back up, still no action on part of the DMD, still showing  alternating color PnDMD.com logo..
