Hey all! Having a devil of a time with Freezy’s brilliant DMD extension, latest version. Can’t seem to get it to recognize my DMD/port 5, and it is also not allowing access. Someone mentioned a problem with the latest update in regard to this issue, but I can’t find the installer for the previous. As always, thank you all so much for the help!

September 1, 2020 at 12:23 pm #199032Did you try to open your command prompt as admin as well ?
And maybe instead of auto, point it to the correct device with port

September 4, 2020 at 6:54 pm #199464Absolutely! Going to try an earlier update of yours to see if that works. Btw, thank you so much for all of your amazing contributions. This wouldn’t be half as enjoyable without you helping out…

September 7, 2020 at 4:49 pm #200145You’ll need to set the same params in dmddevice.ini
[pindmd3]
enabled = true
port = COM5You need to login in order to like this post: click here
September 7, 2020 at 5:58 pm #200152Update: actually only about half the tables are working. Most of the Marvel and Star Wars are not, but Alien, Family Guy, violas, etc are working. Oddest thing…
Went thru and made sure all the dmddevice.ini files were set correctly. Works well now if I run the CMD test and then play. Will just run it before playing now. Thank you so much for your patience.

That can cause you some headaches which you have already experienced
I can’t imagine why you have so many C:\xxxxx\xxx\xxxI’m not the expert but I think the only 2 places you should need it is in your VPinMame folder (Visual Pinball\VPinMame) and you’re XDMD folder

If all the other ones are just sitting there and doing nothing that’s fine but it makes it hard to keep track of what’s what
But cleaning it up would be the way to goYou need to login in order to like this post: click here
