Pinup Popper joystick problem

Hi all I now have popper running my  Mame arcade cabinet all working well and looking fine.

But… the usb generic joystick won’t work the menu game next previous.

the joystick buttons will work.

the joystick left and right appear in the controller setting in the joyrides as 90 and 91 but they have no effect in popper.

all things are unto date as I saw this was a latest issue fix.

the joystick is fully functional in mame and windows settings.

I am using direct joy driver in game wheel toolbar.

Is there a setting or script somewhere I need to change

I use two of those generic usb joystick controllers on my mame with no issues.  Don’t know why it wouldn’t work.

 

Worse case is use joytokey if you can’t figure it out…

Hi thanks for the reply

It is strange especially as it recognises the joy stick in the the back end as button 90 and 91. so the joystick is defiantly working with the system. its just he front end that does not like the joystick.

The joystick buttons work fine in Front end  its just the joy stick like something is blocking it.

Are the joystick pressed handled differently than buttons in the front end?

did/does anyone else have this problem?

Hi I have tried joytokey but although it works in all other programs  the key press’s are not recognised in PinUp Popper back or front end (Unless i need to do something special to make it work with PinUp Popper)

Pin Up was a fresh latest install (1.4.5.17) anything I need to change or add from previous ones version

if joytokey doesn’t work then you have stuff running as-admin and other stuff not.

don’t run anything on your cab as-admin.

one more thing to try.

In Popper add the following custom option.

JoyAxisMove=1
