Hey everyone. I am troubleshooting a problem with a generic USB Joystick controller. It has 12 button inputs, and I have 10 setup on my test system. For Pinup, I am using the DirectX Joystick driver (default I believe) and that works fine. I have mapped flippers to next and previous tables and that works. For Future Pinball, I have enabled joystick support via the check box and mapped my buttons. Works great. For Visual pinball, I loaded the Joy2Key program (shareware download) and have mapped the buttons to keyboard controls – i.e. left shift = left flipper button. It works fine in VPX.
Now the confusing part. When I start the PinUP system, It works, Future pinball works, but VPX does not work. If I use the keyboard, it works. Do I need to modify the PinUP system to avoid a conflict with the Joy2Key program? Is there another program I should use to map the controller to keyboard commands? I also have a KL25Z that I have not installed yet that I plan to use just for “nudge” sensing. I know it can also support buttons, so I might run into this issue again with this board.
**NEWBEE mistake***. I just loaded VPX and used the drop-down options to select buttons and got it working just fine in VPX, no Joy2KEY needed. Duh.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

December 31, 2020 at 8:56 am #217602I know you found your issue, but I do use JoytoKey with the KL25Z as you were also asking. I use it to do nudge commands in Demon’s Tilt, I do not like leaving JoytoKey running outside of it for fear of conflicts in other emulators. What I do is launch JoyToKey in the startup section of my emulator page for Demon’s Tilt then Task Kill it in the exit script and it seems to work fine.
