Hi, I wanted a little advice regarding my plunger assembly. I’m not sure what make it is but I seem to remember that it was either a Bally or Williams one (I’ve had it sitting in a box for about 20 years).
The tube that the plunger shaft goes through has a plastic bush inserted into it that the plunger shaft then goes through. However this plastic bush is not fixed in any way and when you pull the plunger back the plastic insert comes out with the plunger, sometimes all the way.
Should this plastic bush be fixed in place inside the tube. The only way I can see to fix it would be to glue it into the tube part but I wanted some advice before I do this.
I’ve attached a picture to show what I mean.
Thanks

So I’ve done a bit more searching and it appears that the plastic sleeve should have a flange at one end to stop it sliding through the tube. Mine does not have that although it doesn’t look broken. So either the flange broke off cleanly or the previous owner either filed down the broken end to tidy it up or they replaced the sleeve with something else they had to hand.
So I just need a new sleeve and it should be good.
