Hello everyone
here is what we will call the “POV VPX mega PACK JPJ Team PP” I do not promise you that it will be perfect but for those who will want to test these POVs I would ask them for a feedback, it will allow us to improve them if possible. Of course this pack will be updated regularly and if you are looking for a POV that is not yet available and you find our POVs nice, don’t hesitate to ask we will try to provide it to you quickly. good test everyone and thank you for your feedback.
INSTALLATION:
launch VPX
open your VPX tables
then do File / Import / POVWARNING
If once the POV has been imported the table is uniform, check that you have the correct table. our POVs are generally shot on the latest version of the tables

September 1, 2020 at 1:18 am #198950Great POV settings! Thank you! This is the style I like the most, i.e. settings that fit the screen well (without artificial narrowing upwards).
I just have a problem with Big Bang Bar, after applying this setting I have an error as below.
Thanks and I look forward to the other tables!I still dream about an option in Game Manager where we could import POV settings of different authors just as we import media files. Wouldn’t that be beautiful? ;)

September 1, 2020 at 1:46 am #198954Importing different POVs from different authors isn’t gonna happen because it’s table specific. While this download is helpful to some, I have personally always despised sharing POVs. This is something that all users should learn to do on their own since everyone has their own “style”. With 10.6 it is too easy to set the POV
as for Big Bang bar, the reason you get that error is because you are opening it multiple times without closing VPX. BBB is a huge file that is memory intensive. Save the POV, or make your own, lol, and then close vpx and then reopen it to check. HUGE file!

September 1, 2020 at 2:12 am #198955You’re right, I’ve uploaded the Big Bang Bar POV file to the tables folder and so I started the table – it works! Thank you!
As for sharing POV files… I do not agree with you. It’s like saying that everyone should be able to make their own Wheel Image etc. It is not like 1000 people are 1000 other POV. If I like the style chucky87 offers, I can import its settings in the blind because they are in line with my taste. I do the same with media files. I have my favorite authors and I import their graphics in the blind (I have never been disappointed). I see nothing wrong with that. It would make life easier for many people. Setting up a good POV is not always that easy. If people share POV files and others use it, it means that many people like it. So that’s why you should forbid it?

yes you are absolutely right but the goal is to help people who have trouble adjusting their POV by providing them with a base.
Then this does not prevent people from modifying their POV in turn to be to their liking. You need to login in order to like this post: click here
September 1, 2020 at 6:49 am #199013You don’t need to Import the POV files to use them with a table. You can simply rename the POV the same as the VPX table. Then when the table is loaded, VPX checks for this file and will automatically use it for the table’s POV without needing to import / save it to the table.
This is handy because you don’t need to worry about messing up the table’s original POV….and if you update the table in the future, then the POV file will still be the same.
If you use Popper, you can use Games Manager to simply drag and drop the POV file, and Popper automatically copies it to the Tables folder and renames it the same as the table.

Of course. As I wrote earlier in post #198955 – this is what I did

I don’t know how it would work with Database Manager. Writing about Game Manager I had in mind an option analogous to media files (placed on the server). Just beyond Wheel Image / Playfield Image etc. there would be a POV file button that would allow you to download the POV file (various POV files by author). The file would be saved in the Tables folder with the same name as the table. This is probably the simplest solution. Of course Nailbuster would have to approve and implement this option.

September 1, 2020 at 1:43 pm #199038All I am saying is that this is a skill that is easily learned and allows people to setup tables exactly how they want it. Just like adding scrips and POVs to modify things, it allows people to customize.

Even with FP-BAM…. I gave people BAM cfg files to get started with a good POV (which is hard to do if you don’t know how)…but they still need to adjust it per table for how they want it. Myself I prefer having “no apron” POV as it fits the screen more properly with a 1:1 ratio while being positioned perfectly for my cabinet’s specific setup. Not everyone would want that though.

It’s indeed a skill. I understand a bit the vbs part of the tables. I can create my own pov file when a table is not set to fullscreen (cabinet) , but to get a good pov is not something for me. So I really like the pov files someone else creates.
Everybody has his own skills, and I can’t do anything with visualization.
So thanks again for this post and for @terryred : thanks for all the work you do for this community!

I agree completely. It’s about the POV files for the start, later it’s easier to make any small corrections according to your own preferences (although usually there’s no need if my favorite author has similar preferences as me).

September 14, 2020 at 3:55 am #200972Agreed, like your POVs, saves some time, e.g. a new table comes up to my cab, I quickly want to play just to play a few balls for testing. Having a nice POV then just two clicks away is pretty cool! keep em coming thx!

Hi Tom – I have no problem with what you shared, but it would be nice to know where to go to learn that kind of thing?
Thanks, chucky. I’m looking forward to trying something I’ve never done. I’ll probably use TerryRed’s suggestion for now.
