I am trying to create a simple Pup Pack for AFM, after I watched all tutorial videos I could find. Here is what I did:

I created a “afm_113b” folder inside PUPVideos with a subfolder called Backglass, where I placed my mp4 BG file with a duration of 4 seconds.

I loaded the Pup Pack with PinUpPackEditor and set the playlist “Backglass” (rest seconds 30) to screen 2 – what is my backglass screen – with mode “ForceOn”.

I deleted the db2S file inside the tables folder.

Sadly this does not have any effect, so ingame I just see a black BG screen. I also tried the mode “ForceBack” and also tried to copy settings from a different working pack without any luck.

      Any help apprechiated…

good to hear you’re trying to create a puppack!

first question:  do you have pinup player working ok with other PuP tables like tron/avatar?

reason i ask is that you should already have the afm_xxx rom folder in your pupvideos folder created automatically when you ran afm….

if it wasn’t there then that should be the first step to troubleshoot.

          Thank you for your reply.

Pinup player is working fine with Tron and Avatar PUP packs and also with the Aliens PUP pack for FX3. You are right, there already was a folder called afm_113b inside my PupVideos folder created by PinupSystem.  I placed my subfolders into that one.

Some versions of AFM don’t work with pup-packs. I know the first version of g5k didn’t work, and the Groni version doesn’t work with it either. Other versions work fine.

FYI. There was already an AFM pup-pack that was created before….it is currently not on the site, but last I heard it may be getting updated.

Thanks for the info Terry. I did not know that there are more versions of the G5K Table, that means indeed I think I have the first one, because I was really looking forward to it :-).  Maybe that causes the problem I have. Also good news that the pack will just be updated, this table deserves a nice pack… I will try to create a pack for a next table and let you know, if that solves the problem. I also will search for a updated version from G5K…

Newest version of AFM g5k that works with PuP is on Monsterbash Pinballcab site…..but get it while you can, as the site will be closing down soon.
