Is there a tutorial anywhere that could point me in the right direction?
im aware that a lot of cabs use a separate display for DMD
however I’ve also noticed a few pup packs that make a square border for dmd display on the usual backglass output.
is this fairly complex to set up, and on a per table basis?
any tips or pointers would be great
thank you all

September 4, 2019 at 8:08 pm #144113No tutorials….since pup-packs are normally designed with a 3 screen or real DMD setup in mind.
As for the pup-packs that DO have a space that could allow for a DMD….all you need to do is edit the pup-pack and set the PuP Screen used for that to OFF. Then you need to position and size your DMd to fit that area for that table.
Not all pup-packs will allow for that though.
If your BG screen is a “square” screen (not 16:9)…then you can set your PuP Backglass screen’s default size so that it is a proper 16:9 ratio (only using the top 3/4 of the screen). this would allow for space below the pup-pack for your DMd to be displayed. If you are ambitious, you can even add a DMD Speaker panel image as your Windows wallpaper to match…or add an Overlay to the pup-pack to do the same.

ill try the change in aspect ratio to accommodate DMD below, would these setting save on a per table basis? Would allow me to experiment with each individually, or would it involve changing every time?

If you have a square screen…then just run configpupdisplays.bat and set your backglass and backglass2 pup screens for the 16:9 ratio. Then ALL pup-packs”should” automatically use that.
