So, I’ve got some ideas to customize some of the existing original tables to our cab Radiant Silverball’s particular configuration, which has a backbox that (somewhat) mimics the latest Stern/Spooky games (LCD for Topper/DMD, not physically divided), but I’d like to know before committing to a method if anyone is currently or planning on using Other1/Backglass 2 for anything in their PUP-Packs? My basic idea is to replace UltraDMD in those tables with a PUP-based solution where possible, and if I can get away with using Other1 (or Other2/Topper 2) to basically fill the screen with one thing, rather than limit myself to DMD/Topper divisions.

June 3, 2019 at 5:45 am #130638- If you want a seperate screen for whatever you want to try. You can open the screens.pup with notepad and edit more screens 11-19 for this screens you use custom pos to choose the reference screen. So no one get problems . Take a look at my last Puppacks and you will see how it works .

June 3, 2019 at 11:17 am #130650depending if you’re planning on using table script or puppacks. or if you’re modifiying a table that already has a puppack. Most puppacks moving forward should only use 11-19 really with custompos so that they don’t affect Popper or other configs.
if you’re just using table script then a variable like pDMDFull=#, and use that variable, so worst case its just changing one number in script in future.

June 3, 2019 at 6:26 pm #130720The plan is for table scripting only right now; my experiments will be getting original tables like MOTU and 3 Angels running as LCD tables instead of DMD, and other tables like America’s Most Haunted I’d like to eventually convert over to Pinup DMD.
I will be “abstracting” the screen number like in the Orbital Pin tables and templates, just to make it easier if I need to change it.
I’ll admit, part of why I want to do it is that I recognize that UltraDMD hasn’t been updated in a while, and may in fact be abandoned, and yet I need to learn to use something for the DMD/LCD in the tables I’d like to eventually make. Plus, well, Pinup is rather less clunky than UltraDMD.
