Made a little drive today to check this out on location and get some measurements for project Alien Star Resurrection. That’s my high score so far after several games, damn fun machine, first time playing a real one.
Also got to play at same location, Munsters premium, dead pool (don’t know which one), and black Knight sword of rage pro all for the first time, all fun but bk pro was probably my fave of the three. Great burgers and beer also to be had at The Wedgehead in Portland, or.

May 25, 2019 at 7:31 pm #129460Omg. From the machines mentioned. Only would I walk towards the new black knight before ending up on that beauty. I still play your re-creation regularly. It all depends on what game I played last and what way I scroll I guess. Once I see it, I often stop and give it a few rounds. Same goes for Bord’ Pinbot. Pinbot has this weird attract sound that draws me to it and Alien Star of course is played hoping to get to the 5x spinner.
With the resurrection. I expect you’re talking about your real machine ? The VP version is already perfect, except for those plastics you promised about a half year ago ;)

May 26, 2019 at 1:30 pm #129526Yes, it’s also in a wedge shaped building, so kind of cool. Had 1 wedgehead in the lineup, Slick Chick, which we didn’t play, but we did get some games in on Skate Ball, Frontier, and the mid range AFMr (the better half really likes AFM, fun and funny). They have a really nice lineup, I chatted with both the owners for a while, one of them I had met before as he bought my golden arrow a little over a year ago and has had it on route until recently. Great burgers as well, mostly named for old school wrestling guys, I had the superfly snuka burger which is a big juicy burger with a thick slice of Spam, bacon and a fried egg on it (as well as other stuff). I sound like a commercial for the place LOL

May 26, 2019 at 3:14 pm #129532Cool place @BorgDog, did you notice their homepage is a close-up shot of the Alien Star? Coincidence?

May 26, 2019 at 3:42 pm #129535ha, good eye. I actually had not paid enough attention to notice that, but not surprised, best machine there imo, although they had it set it shallower slope than I probably will for mine so was a little slower and floatier. I did manage to shatz the inlane – hit the lit spinner a couple times, but unfortunately failed horribly trying to do it during multi-ball. need more practice.

May 27, 2019 at 9:24 pm #129744Buddy of mine lives in Portland and it seems like there is a very vibrant pinball community there. He sent me pics/vids from Wedgehead last November of a MINT Fathom. Would love to see one of those but apparently it’s been rotated out.
This is something I hadn’t ever thought about – He came to visit a few months ago and played the VP versions of Fathom I have and mentioned how he had played the real thing at WH a bunch of times, loves it, but until playing it on my VP cab…he had never been able to hear the sounds it makes. Too noisy in a place like Wedgehead. Score one for having a VP cab in the band cave.
Super Fly Snuka Spam Burger? That’s really a thing??

May 27, 2019 at 9:42 pm #129747Lol, yeah definitely a thing, check out the menu on their site wedgeheadpdx.com, not long but it is interesting.
I would loved to have seen/played the fathom.
