So the table plays well but my ramps are red.  I don’t believe that’s correct.  What am I doing wrong to get the ramps to look normal (based on the pics I’ve seen posted here)?

Bolt if you’re a DT guy… open the table in the editor…
turn on just layer #1
click on the Homer head model….
on the right will be the opinions menu
check “Disable Lighting”
do the same for the comic book guy…..
save the table…

i’m sure someone will fix this the correct way, at some point…

For desktop user: 

Reduce the size of the comic book guy on layer one, so you can better see, the ball on the upper left flipper.

Agreed i play desktop more then cab as im just not in my basement a lot but if i get my coffee table build finished i can play FSS on that in my den and will get used much more for sure

This version is playing real nicely.  So far, the only thing I can’t figure out is how to get the table slingshots to fire my solenoids for slingshots in my DOF.  As of now, the table slingshots fire a couple of solenoids in the top of my cab (where top bumpers would normally fire on other tables).

I just played the VP9 version of this table and the slingshot solenoids are correctly firing in my cab.  Both versions of the table are using the simpprty rom.

Might there be something in the vpx version script to switch which solenoids are firing for the slingshots?  I don’t know where/what to change here.  Any help is appreciated.

Any ideas regarding the slingshots firing the wrong solenoids in my cab (3 posts back)?  Would love to get this worked out as this table is otherwise playing really nice.  Thanks!

the ramps are either red or orange

the ramps on my WIP have the same red texture found on the VP9 table.

 

The ramps on the original table are a dark red/orange  clear plastic

Neo changed the materials (deleted the red texture)  to match this color,  but his materials need more help since they are suppose to be transparent not a solid Orange color.

if you wan orange ramps download HFs WIP table.

 

the DOF config from a VP9 table will not work on a VPX table.

Since this table is a WIP,  You need to go to the DOF config page and make a new config file for this table.

I had a chance to play this, just today…. and I forgot how terrible I am at it…
anyway these ramps were transparent orange, heres a shot of the mini PF
side note…. ol’ driving/pinball gloves wouldnt shut up!!…. i’m a kook magnets i’ve been told…..

I want to lay a little more back story… I believe this kid never had a chance in life, this is why…. while he played his games
the mother (late 50’s early 60’s)  was walking the perimeter of the arcade, in an odd fashion… then I noticed what was going ,
she was checking all the coin returns for quarters… but it wasn’t completely the fact she was doing this, it was how….
I could tell she herself had been taught to do this when she was a kid, and now it had become more an action of OCD…. I wish it was something i could describe
