With the airlines furloughing, I will be taking military order to move to Rock Island Arsenal Illinois and I decided to sell all my real pins and my CD jukebox. Sad day but I am sure I will get more in the future. Instead of buying another real juke, I am looking at building a virtual jukebox mostly for the wife and kids. I have an iPad to spare and a touch screen computer so either one of those combined with some lights and popper or another front end would be really cool. Anyone out there wanna share pics of their virtual, non pinball cab, jukeboxes. I also need to find some music and I know the issues with mp3 and mp4s but there must be a more “economical” Way to get lots of music…. any suggestions PM me thanks

My pinball league all built virtual jukeboxes so we could play tunes while we play pinball. We all use similar builds with touch screen LCD (19 inch) mounted on wall with PC in the closet connected to the touch screen. We use this software and its awesome. All 10 of use have the same build. Its super easy to add thousands of songs and cover art. Some of use use streaming services with it but I chose to use my massive digital library.

September 26, 2020 at 6:49 pm #202350i know some people here use popper as a front end, i will check that out though. I am thinking of using one screen that is touchscreen to select the music and the other screen to display artwork. Then have speakers and some lights. I want to do a slim, standup model, i think. Post pics of yours though, thanks

September 27, 2020 at 12:04 am #202369Hey Tom, good luck with your upcoming changes. Bummer about the pins but they are …pins. I sold off a couple of unique guitars a while back that I thought I would regret parting ways with forever! Both were semi-rare. But I found a cheap/beater Telecaster that just needed a little Linus Christmas Tree love to become the most enjoyable axe I’ve ever had. The future always has cool stuff in it. I’m sure you have more pins and also hopefully vp creations in your future!
