I installed the complete pinup system according to Terry’s videos, using the latest of everything (except VLC). Latest Windows 10/64.

Pretty sure I did everything correctly, unblocked .dll and ini files etc., running framework, B2s working, PUP B2s plugin is installed and working…however

When I run pinup menu, the default images load into the playfield and backglass windows fine (testing all on one screen for now). When I select VPX tables, the wheel images appear, however no backglasses load. When I run the table the table appears in a separate VPX window, not the pinup system assigned window and backglass will open in separate window also. (I loaded the back glasses using media manager drag and drop)

Is there a simple fix, setting or something I’m missing here? This is driving me nuts, thanks guys.

First things first. Front-ends should be the last item you setup on your virtual pinball cab…

You need to make sure your vpx, or fx3 or future pinball is working 100% outside of your frontend. Launch the vpx editor standalone and make sure any and all tables are working 100%.

PinUP Popper only job is to give you the media/menu to select a table and pass that info to launch your emulator(vpx). It doesn’t setup/configure any keys or screen locations of anything of that nature for vpx.

so when you say “When I run the table the table appears in a separate VPX window, not the pinup system assigned window and” … that is 100% correct. VPX config determines all that stuff not any front end.

hope that helps….

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, VPX tables are all working with DMD and Backglass B2s 100%. PinUp system was the last thing I installed and to the letter of Terry’s video tutorial.

I’m a bit confused because in Terry’s video, the tables and backglass all appear and load in the window layout setup by PinUp player displays. This is probably irrelevant anyway because the cab is using 2 displays and sure, that will load fine on the cab anyway.

The main problem is when I select a VPX table in the menu, each back glass does not load at all, only the default image.

I have tried adding B2s files with media manager (it is in the pop media/Visual Pinball X /BackGlass folder), I also tried leaving the B2s in the table folder (name is identical to table and loads fine in VPX).

BTW. I really love what you guys have done with this front end, thanks.

• uninstalled and reinstalled VLC + pinup system + 1.3.7 patch = same issue, no change
• dragging B2s file onto back glass in media manager… is there anything else I need to do to get the backglass appearing?

I just worked it out.

The backglass media needs to be an mp4 file.

When Terry says “add backglass files” with media manager in the video, being completely new to this, I assumed you add the backglass file (B2s).

Is there a link or tutorial on how to convert B2s to an mp4? Or does the recording feature do both?

The recording feature can do both, or even just the backglass (if you already have playfield videos) if you go into the menus for recording.

Thanks. Just found it on NailBuster’s WIKI under recording. I need to slow down and read some more

All solved and working great ?
