I created 2 new The Walking Dead – Premium (Stern 2014) Backglass using a new “heads in a fishtanks” image. Both totally started from scratch. All text and logos have been replaced with higher quality images to create a new clean backglass.
– The Walking Dead Premium (Stern 2014) 4×3 Basic.directB2S 1920×1441
Basic version that matches the original in color, quality, and size. Has a built in animation for the backglass turning ON when first started. Like the original, there are no other bells and whistles.
– The Walking Dead Premium (Stern 2014) 16×9 Deluxe.directB2S – 1920×1080
Because I used a 16×9 monitor for backglass in my cab, I wanted to “resize” the original backglass to fit nicely in the screen. When I tried to resize the original so everything didn’t get squished or loose the aspect ration, I had big areas of black on either side of the image … So, I decided to make this the super deluxe 16×9 – 1920×1080 version with a built in animation of “fish-tank-bulbs” which look AWESOME in my cab – even though it isn’t “exactly” like the original.
This is a fairly heavy CPU backglass with 30 cycling frames of “bubbles” animation. If it slows down your table playback, simply use the other one.
Just because this is listed as the “Premium” version doesn’t mean you HAVE to use it with the premium TWD. Simply rename the file to match your existing table and you’re good to go.

You can try reducing the frame rate by Right-Clicking on the backglass and set the Bubbles Animation to 2x or 3x …
That “might” help …
Gonna try and optimize it as much as possible and see if I can get the file size down.

Hi HiRez, first this Looks awesome – but for 2 Screen Users, there is no Place for the DMD,
could i add a nice Speaker-Grill, then we could have also a 2 Screen Version ?

I think the Main Problem to FPS is with the Resolution, you could try one 1366, or even 1280 (as i have) Version …

Installed this lastnight and man what a game changer. The animation of the bubbles with all the heads in green stagnant water just brings a whole new feel to the table.

I opted to do a “redraw” of a new grill for this because I was having trouble adjusting the colors and things with the version you sent me. I wanted to adjust hue to more of a “greenish” that would match the fish tank coloring. I did it at 8000 px so it is razor sharp. Tried my best to “match” the theme and style and since this is for a “fantasy” backglass, close is good enough.
Here is a sample – both clean and bloody. Will implement this weekend along with some other tweaks.

Yeah, that’s why I used it for Thalamus. Used it will Siggi’s mod table as well to complete the setup, yet make it different.
