So with the most current VPX 10.2 beta and VPM 2.39, table is unresponsive and crashes to desktop.  Removed cfg and nvram files, same deal.  This happening to anyone else?  Was doing it prior to beta update as well.

Yeah, get the VPX 10.2 close error message from Windows.   The mouse in the screen is extremely laggy as well.   Only table it seems to do it on.

Not sure what happened but I decided to install 10.1 to a different directory, ran that with TWD, worked fine.  Switched back to the 10.2 beta .exe, works there now as well.

I assume its lack of enough video memory?

provide specs or turn down settings in preferences its a fairly demanding table with a few images that are larger and can cause this

hi randr, thanks for the quick help!

 

i adjusted the video setting down to 1024, and got past that error…

now i am getting an error that says to check the rom/rompath.

however, i know that the rom is the correct one, AND that it works perfectly with the PM5 version of this table.

i have had this problem on the mustang table, and so did at least one other person. it was found in that table, that using the b2s server could be causing the issue.

by switching to vpinmame server, the rom/path error went away, and the table works for myself and others.

i tried the same fix with this table, but it wont fix it. also tried UVP SERVER. i got a little bit further with UVP server, but got  a couple of lighting script errors.

does anybody know how to get past this rom/path error?  thanks/sparky

rom path error can still be a memory issue if i recall correctly. try reducing quality more to test or no backglass at all may help

rompath error can also be ddraw if you are running in fullscreen.  Change ddraw to 0 in the registry.

i am running fullscreen.

i changed ddraw to 0, and still no luck…

also lowered video to 512, and no backglass … still getting rom error.

Upgrade video drivers? Get a better video card? what card do you have? how much memory on card?

You could export larger images from table and resize them smaller that would be one way to make it work for your setup

2.96GB RAM

This is one of the more demanding of all the VPX tables vs. a system with less system ram and a video card below what many people consider the minimum specs line… so you may have met your match.

If the 650 has 2gb ram its ok if 1gb then its just not enough
