Sigh, I guess I’ll explain this for the third time in this support topic alone lol….I knew this would take a while to catch on…. There have been backdrop settings posted a few times in the form of an xml, and now with the recent update sliderpoint has done he has even included the xml within the download. Open the VP, open the table and go File>import>backdrop xml> save table>done.
I’m hoping it does catch on… it’s a great feature of VPX. People can even use it to create backups of their POVs for when a table is updated… you have instant settings for the new version. I make backup POV’s for each table after I set them up and keep them in a folder. It does seem like more people are starting to use this.

October 20, 2016 at 4:24 pm #39318Hey Pinfan… Have you tried the camera/light mode in the VPX editor? Go to the table menu, then camera/light mode. Camera/light mode is your friend.

October 22, 2016 at 12:29 am #39405Pinfan, the camera/light will actually be more useful for the camera view changes than the lighting. For the lighting, the “day/night” slider on the right side of the editor will give you the most bang for your buck.

October 22, 2016 at 3:26 pm #39451For VPX, if you click on the “help” menu in the editor, then click “about” you can see what version you have, then just compare it to the most recent one posted to see if you have to update.
For pinmame, I usually just keep the .rar package or changelog of my most recent one in the pinmame folder so I can check the version number if I forget.

October 22, 2016 at 7:17 pm #39461you have any links to share for the updates on the Vp 10.2 beta or pinmame updates
iam unable to find any.
Thanks Again! DryBonz
Click Downloads above and then VPX Beta Builds. randr does a pretty good job at keeping us up to date.
Also, Google “vpinmame 2.4” and you will find the latest on the front page of the results.

November 21, 2016 at 3:39 pm #41684I hate to ask because I’m sure its just something I am missing, BUT:
The DMD shows up on the playfield and I cannot move it, or right-click to drag it to my separate screen. I don’t see anything in the script or playfield editor to do with DMD location and have not encountered an unmovable DMD before so I am stumped.
I am running this table as-is after having imported the landscape xml that was posted a bunch of times as I am in a 3-screen cabinet setup.
Any clues would be appreciated, thanks!

November 21, 2016 at 11:34 pm #41694Hey pkrobin, that is not anything I have seen before. Do you know how to run pinmames setup.exe and test roms? I would try that to run the rom by itself and see if you still have that issue with the dmd screen. Also right click the backglass and try making sure the b2s dmd is hidden. That is where I would start anyways.

November 21, 2016 at 11:39 pm #41695If I do the pinmame test it appears right where it should.
If I play in the back glass settings I was able to hide it off the playfield but then it was gone completely. I’m using the latest directb2s off this site maybe I should try a different one.

Strange. Maybe deleting the DMD registry setting and nvram (both only for this table) could help.

November 22, 2016 at 8:08 am #41708Dune. No change. Even before, the x,y pos in the registry is nowhere near where the DMD is showing on this table. I can put whatever I want in there and it stays in the wrong screen.

November 22, 2016 at 8:10 am #41709I also ran every one of my vp10 tables. DMD perfect spot on all others.

I just tried it.
Change “UseVPMDMD” from “1” to “0” should solve the problem.
You find it almost at the top of the script.

November 22, 2016 at 11:20 am #41719But after the script change it has to be activated within the backglass settings like Sliderpoint mentioned. Thats the way it works for me too
