1979’s Time Warp based on the layout and PF from Gilrock’s VPX WIP. Rothbauerw did the scripting/physics and I did the graphics/rendering. Special attention to rothbauerw’s work to get banana flippers working in VPX. Thanks also to WED21 for his excellent plastic images and Schreibi34 for his banana flipper mesh.
Check the script options for banana or standard flippers.
A bit of background:
This isn’t a project I started from scratch so I don’t plan on extensive support for it going forward. It was just an attempt to get something released when the project seemed to have stalled and I feel good about how it accomplishes that.

Banana flippers. I was there. When they first showed up. Looked like an interesting idea. But wasn’t. What randr referenced! – games like this will get a lot more play now. These saucers are stunning.  ‘Let’s do the Time Warp Again.’

It is absolutely awesome to see that you guys managed to get banana flippers into vpx. It has been said again and again that it is impossible, but, obviously it is not. Now, I wonder how the physics for those are. Thank you very much @rothbauerw for picking up the idea and running with it. And of course to you too @bord for all the rendering stuff. Another beautiful table going into the collection. You guys rock !

Thanks a lot guys, I was very curious to try the banana flippers, never played the real ones, but watched some videos and for me they are pretty accurate, some unexpected bounces and little weird things (probably like the normal flippers), but entertaining and at least for me, they are a big YES if I have to choose if I prefer these over the normal flippers to match the recreation of this table, congrats. Awesome render and the rest of the physics are so nice too, I’m very happy to see that u have retaken the project.

Cool release, I remember only once having played with banana flippers very long time ago.
I think you hit the nail with those banana physics. Pretty weired, but interesting, thanks to all for this one
Just wanted to mention, that many mech sounds are rooted to the backglass instead of the table (yes I know I sound like a broken record, but for those, who have speakers within the cab that makes a huge difference). I rooted all except the knocker to table…
