yeah unfortunately, it’s just in the cycle of play. Yes it may take you a while to lock both balls and if you lose your third, then the next player has the chance to get multiball, but then it could be reversed to where you may also have that same chance that the other player missed out on. These types of lock ball games don’t release or reset the locked balls for the next player. :)

January 19, 2019 at 10:52 am #110166One thing you can do if you feel that the ball rolling sound is too low is to export the ballrolling samples from Jaws and replace them with these. I haven’t checked but I expect they have the same filenames. Mark all – delete, then just import and select all the exported ones.
You can also inside the
Function Vol(ball)
Vol = Csng(BallVel(ball) ^2 / 2000)
End Function
Change the 2000 to something lower. If you change that – you might want to change the same number inside OnBallBallCollition Sub.
This is partly why I used Const on these values in the scripts repo. Much easier to tune to your liking.
Thanks Thalamus. Yeah I’ve learned by now how to tweak different effects in few ways, just wonder how is author’s system set up if sound levels are fine for him? Lately I’ve found several tables to either have some effects insanely loud or almost muted compared to others included in same table.

January 19, 2019 at 11:35 am #110178Well. We’re all different. We have different computers, different preferences – desktop/cab – headphones, exciters, 2.1 etc. Some might have better hearing than others. Personally I’m struggling with a left ear tinnitus for about 3 years now. However. I guess we just have to accept that you have to learn how to adjust a few things to get these releases to play or sound the way you want them to.

Some roms don’t work with Pin2DMD. This is one of them.

Hmmm, none of that era of Gottlieb roms work for me.
Correction: I have a pindmd2, not pin2dmd.

January 19, 2019 at 1:08 pm #110203I got it working too. Pindmd3. Don’t remember right now what I did – but, I decided to disable it again for this tables. Believe it was because of bad wrapping of the text. I experimented a bit with the new alphanum release from freezy and noticed that I’ve made special adjustments for hollywood and bubba in the dmddevice.ini. If you’d asked me I would not have thought so, but, since I’m getting old ….

January 19, 2019 at 1:12 pm #110204Honestly, I prefer these games on the backglass. So I haven’t really played with it.

January 19, 2019 at 2:19 pm #110211I don’t have it displaying on my Pin2DMD…. I just tested it to see if it would but It’s like Thalamus said Not showing all the information…
Which I didn’t realize the other day because I did a quick test….
I also have a small 3rd screen above my real DMD that I used to display the Score

Make sure you have Use External DMD checked in the vpinmame settings for the rom.
I checked, this rom does work for me, but like the others, it doesn’t display everything. Probably why I disabled it.

January 19, 2019 at 3:07 pm #110218unless you are running Freezys latest DMD alpha numeric support dll
you will not be able to run the backglass scores on your pin2DMD or pindmd3.
the 3 screen db2s released will not work either because the size of the DMD image imported is too big
to fit on a pin2dmd or pindmd3
try this and see if it works
- import a DMD image that matches the resolution of the rgb panels 128×32
- set the DMD location to 3rd screen only
- go to the DMD screen
- Â set the LED spacing to 1 on both reels
- set the Size to 128 by 16
- set the location of reel 1 to 0x0
- set the location of reel 2 to 0x16
8. if it works do the same for all your Gotlieb tables that have an alpha numeric displays as a DMD
Bubba
Beach Bums
Diamond Lady
Genesis
Gold Wings
Harley Quinn
Hollywood Heat
Rambo
Raven
Robo-war
Rock
Rock Encore
Tx-Sector
Victory

January 19, 2019 at 3:29 pm #110221This is next level. Finally got around to playing it with the ROM. So many surprises. So much detail. All those real pin people will never get to experience this. So sad.

January 20, 2019 at 4:42 pm #110345tomjerry.zip requires the absolute latest vpm beta. Yours is probably too old. Just run setup. Do you see that rom name in the list ? You should if you expect to be able to use it.
