Very early work in progress of my Top Gun VPX table [based on JP’s Space Shuttle].
At the rate I’m going this will no doubt take me an eternity, however thought I’d share some early images.
The PUP pack back glass will ultimately feature all of your favourite movie quotes.
“She’s lost that loving’ feeling… no she hasn’t.”

August 10, 2019 at 3:38 am #141287My first table by the way, so no pressure ‘Thalamus’.. LOL. It may not be what everyone expects, but I’ll give it my best to do it justice.
The PUP pack should be a whole lot of fun if anything.
When I get closer, I may call on some of the Gurus out there to improve on the overall concept and scripting. Right now I’m focused on the overall presentation, layout, lighting etc.. Thanks for the encouragement guys! Gotta start somewhere.Never take advice from me,

August 10, 2019 at 6:06 am #141313As long as you are having fun, you should not worry to much about the end result. You will most probably release it, and then sometime down the road after you’ve learned something new, wish you’ve knew it before release. That’s when you make an update

August 15, 2019 at 4:27 am #141810Built a chromium steel kick-out for the ball lock. It’s barely visible on this table but even so I notice the detail.
Balls wouldn’t last long in a real cab with exposed metal parts… let’s do it!
+ some other new parts ready to go in.

August 26, 2019 at 3:23 am #143292Update:
– Flyby entry and wire exit ramp added
– plastics fixed to fill holes
– dynamic lighting tweaks done
– changed multi-ball hold kickers to Williams VPX [even though I rebuilt new metallic kickers, the new built-in VPX kickers look way more cool!]
– table sounds done
– backend stuff doneThe table is pretty much done apart from some minor tweaks and testing. All my efforts are now focussed on the PUP pack which was a driving force to do this in the beginning.
