https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/totem-gottlieb-1979-mod-1-3/
Gottlieb’s 1979 Totem second rebuild. I want to thank first 32assassin for the original build to which he allowed me to mod based on my actual Totem pinball. The original was gone over and corrected placement issues with plastics and rubbers to make as authentic as possible. I have played both the real and this version and it plays as close to realistic as I can see possible. The bumper caps were replaced with authentic ones and the lights were changed to replicate the color LED mod I did to mine. I added multiple switches and bulb locations based off the manual and got rid of the left slingshot because Totem only has the right one.
Next Borgdog took the table and added a great set of flippers, an updated and fully functional vari-target and a new kickout hole. He took the whole playfield and stretched it to the proper sizing. Great job and thanks for all your hard work and wisdom!
Then, Angrim took the script and updated it for a better and more colorful DOF experience. It looks even better than my original mod, so don’t forget to update your DOF config file, if you haven’t already don’t it for Addams Family!. Thanks for the help Angrim.
After that, Thalamus took the table and added his SSF touches to the script along with FastFlips. Table sounds great and plays great! Thanks for the addition and the testing!!
Lastly, I want to thank Wildman for his updated backglass. Hopefully in the near future we can get an even better one going.
For my first table I want to thank everyone for all the hard work and wisdom. It has been a great experience and I hope everyone enjoys, Tom

Thank you @armyaviation and @32assassin

January 22, 2019 at 9:43 am #110680Cool beans @armyaviation. always love some system1 improvements.
For flippers I suggest swapping in @bord primitives and textures found https://vpinball.com/VPBdownloads/gottlieb-flipper-mesh-pack , he did a great job and they look awesome and easily customizeable.

January 22, 2019 at 10:01 am #110681I believe I tried those and couldn’t figure out a few things. I got the flippers in the correct place at the correct angle but instead or rotating the rolled from top to bottom. 32 was giving me advice on it but wasn’t successful. also the pf color was bleeding through the flippers in spots. was weird. I will continue to try.

January 22, 2019 at 10:26 am #110683If they rolled – you probably changed the wrong axis. I would – pick a pretty recent table from the guy that mentions the change.
It would just make sense that he recently used Bord’s flippers – don’t you think ?

January 22, 2019 at 10:32 am #110685yeah, most of the older primitives you had to rotate to place on the table correctly, bords you just place them, but it does mean however you need to do the rotation of a different axis. check out my recent Dragon update on how they are done, particularily the flippertimer stuff (need to do rotz instead of rotx or whatever the other was).

January 22, 2019 at 2:32 pm #110711Bord added a beautiful set of flippers, Thanks!!! I noticed a couple of the switches were either missing or not working. there are two under the plastic left of the bumpers, One next to the 10,000 bonus light and one under the plastic next to the 4,000 bonus light. I also want to update the dof config file for this table and add a few goodies.

January 22, 2019 at 4:07 pm #110723Thanks Wildman, I am going to still try and get a scan of the backglass so we can update it. The only other change to the backglass I would like to do is make the “Gottlieb” glow purple. I changed my bulb and it looks great.
1.2 is up. I added missing switches, swapped a switch for the L Sling since totem doesn’t have one on that side. I also updated the DOF in script and submitted a change on dof configtool site. Don’t know how long that takes to update. Added PF and BG videos also in download
The only thing that bothers me is the primitive for the yellow plastic guide lanes at top. Since they are canted to the side they look blocky on the sides. Don’t know how to smooth them out. Other than that I am happy

January 23, 2019 at 12:41 pm #110790Great table. I don’t see the vari-target on the left scoring points. Is this missing a switch? Thanks!
