The Grid’s most awesome HD 1080p PinUP Player videos make for Light Cycles, Light Jet Cannons, Explosions and the coolest de-resolution effects you have ever seen in a real pinball cabinet!
A video demonstration of this table can be seen here in my cabinet at 6m42s :
The Future Pinball table for this PuP-Pack can be found here:
Requirements:
-PinUP Player 1.2+ installed and working
– DOF R3 installed (for DOFLinx cabinet feedback and lighting) and addressable leds already setup and working (for MX led effects).
– DOFLinx 6.10 or higher is REQUIRED, even if you don’t have addressable leds or use PuP.
Tron Legacy (Stern Ultimate) PinUp Player Pack (BackGlass and Topper)
System: Future Pinball, with BAM
PuP-Pack: All Video, Media and Artwork by TerryRed PuP-Pack Editor files by TerryRed
DOFLinx MX PuP mod: TerryRed
Installation:
Ensure there are no files in “PUPVideos FP_TRONLEG_STERN_ULT” (if that folder already exists).
Copy the PuP-Pack (FP_TRONLEG_STERN_ULT) folder into your PUPVideos folder.
(example: C:Visual PinballTables PinUpPlayer PUPVideos FP_TRONLEG_STERN_ULT).
Background Videos:
Backglass: Enabled by default
Topper : Enabled by default
(note background settings are configurable by using PinUPPackEditor.exe)
Installation Notes:
The Backglass has a default setting to enable a looping Background Backglass video.
The Topper has a default setting to enable a looping Background Topper Video. If you are using your own Topper Video (through Pinball X) you should either disable the Topper Background video (using PinUPPackEditor), or replace it with your own video.
This PuP-Pack is designed for people with a Backglass and Topper.
If you do not have a Topper screen, you do not need to use the PuP Topper if you don’t want to. You can disable it for this only this table by using the PinUPPackEditor.

Do you have DOFLinx 6.11 installed fully? Most importantly, do you have the newest DOFLinx.vbs copied to your “Future Pinball \ Scripts ” directory. If not then DOFLinx won’t know what the new PuP commands are.

January 17, 2018 at 1:08 pm #74538That was about it… a previous install of doflinx had DOFLinx.vbs as read only so, dropping the new one in the scripts folder created a copy rather than replacing. It works now…
on a related note, now that PUP takes over the BG, it “covers” the DMD… This table does nto seem to have code to support external DMDs, right ? my PINDMD3 is blank on this table… It was not a problem before, when there was a DMD in the BG

You can have FP play it’s DMDs on a real DMD using FP Intercept.

Also…you can just disable the “Backglass Background” for this table in the PinUpPackEditor if you want to use FP’s backglass.

I know with FutureDMD, sometimes you have to get the “correct” dmd on the table to be the one that it fetches data from. From that guide:
The program will replicate one 128 x 32 DMD (either a HUD device or a translite one) out to the FutureDMD. It sends the first DMD of the correct size (128 x 32 ) that is drawn by Future Pinball. If you have multiple DMD’s on the table, but only update one of them, it is quite possible that it will pick up the wrong one! – In this case you will need to remove the erroneous DMD displays from the table,
resize the second dmd so that it is not 128X32, or change which one is updated by the program.I definitely had to do this with some tables. Maybe this is also the case with real dmds?

January 17, 2018 at 8:10 pm #74676Not sure. I have no experience with FP coding. I guess I’ll wait until someone can confirm that the table works with external DMDs… I wonder if the overlapping videos on top of the DMD prevents it’s capture…

I know that this table works fine with rablack97 and his real Pin2DMD.
