I am trying to get my back glass to play smoothly when playing Tron. If I open the videos in VLC natively, and set the driver to Direct3D, the video uses a lot of the GPU (20%). While this in and of itself isn’t concerning, when I load up a 4k table, the 20% that the back glass is using is too much. If I switch to Direct Draw 2D or OpenGL, GPU utilization goes to about 2%. When I set he PinUp Player to use DirectX or OpenGL, the video on the back glass still stutters as if it is using the wrong driver. Additionally, if I set the orientation of the back glass in PinUp Player to 180, the video isn’t inverted when I launch the table. So I am thinking that this config is not being applied correctly.
Is there a way to tell what driver PinUp Player is actually commanding VLC to use?
