Verne’s World for VPX… think you’ll probably need 10.2 beta to run it but maybe not.

I hit a wall. Sorry hope you can play it.

Thanks to akiles5000, gtxjoe etc for help. It was fun for a while and then it wasn’t and then it was sad because it had been so long and then it was fun for a little bit and here we are. It doesn’t have everything I wanted but it’s close. Please report any bugs and I’ll try and take care of them in a timely fashion.

Desktop and fullscreen obviously.

Mods allowed, always and forever without permission. Just give credit, don’t steal this and upload some high res nonsense with no other changes and call it your own. I see you, MB thief…

Another fun table I had never heard of. As usual top-notch physics. The only thing I noticed was I was seeing heavy grain almost like you would see in an old film. At first I wondered if it is because I am using VPX 10.1 but it looks like the ambient occlusion was preset to 12. Once I lowered that to 1-2 it looked fantastic.

Yea I crank the ambient occlusion up didn’t realize that was universal. I guess if you have it on in the first place it uses the table setting. I haven’t seen anyone else use such high settings so I’m probably the outlier. Everyone take note! Ao adjustment will fix the graininess if you’re not a fan :)

Oh wow. I didn’t know there was a programmatic way to control the ambient occlusion level. I thought it was just on and off. I might be able to turn it on for the Sopranos table etc now that I experience the “grain” on

I get the grain in desktop and full screen, personally I like the look but it’s definitely not for everyone. I think it’s not grainy if you set AO to static as well? I think the reason I like it is it makes it look more like a photo which gives it an extra sense of realism, instead of just sharp edges and smooth lines which makes it look digitally recreated. Though you’re not fooling anyone anyways, it’s just a small detail.

Is there a way to increase the background volume? I managed my way into the volume settings (pressing 9 until it appears on the display) but I can’t seem to increase the level, only decrease the level (by pressing 1) no other key seems to impact it.
